This page of the guide explains how to increase the capacity of your inventory in Hogwarts Legacy . This will be very useful in cases where you forget to get rid of unwanted items.
Standard capacity
Initially, each player will be able to hold a maximum of 20 items of gear. It's not a small amount, but over time you will acquire many more things that later may become useless (mainly due to worse stats).
Increasing the maximum capacity
At some point in the game you will come across a main quest called Trials of Merlin . After completing it, you will be able to solve the puzzles of the same name. They are scattered around the world and you will need Mallowsweet Leaves to activate them .

When you manage to complete two trials, you will be able to increase your maximum inventory in challenges as a reward. For each additional milestone you complete, you will be rewarded with four additional equipment slots (up to a maximum of forty slots).
