Troll Bogeys are a rare crafting ingredient in Hogwarts Legacy. On this page of the guide, we explain how to get Troll Bogeys by fighting trolls encountered in the game world, and how to buy bogeys so you won't have to fight the large monsters.
Use for Troll Bogeys
Troll Bogeys are one of the Ingredients used in crafting. They are used to produce Invisibility Potion.
You must create at least one Invisibility Potion during your playthrough (e.g. by using the potion brewing station in the Room of Requirement), but you can also produce more and use it during fights.
Troll lairs and trolls encountered in quests
The easiest way to get the ingredient is by visiting any Troll Lair. An example of such a location is at the western end of the Feldcroft Region - it is shown in the pictures above.
Trolls can spawn in quests and during free exploration. For example, during The Helm of Urtkot main quest, you can come across Dark Wizards fighting a troll. Join the fight and defeat the troll.
Remember to take the loot left by dead trolls, because it is not automatically added to the inventory. Information about obtaining Troll Bogeys will appear in the upper right corner.
Buying Troll Bogeys
If you're having trouble defeating trolls, there's an alternative method you can use - visit J. Pippin's Potions shop in Hogsmeade. He sells Troll Bogeys - a single ingredient costs 100 gold.
