Text-to-speech
Menu narration in Hogwarts Legacy is available in all supported languages. This feature will be offered the first time you launch the game, with the ability to adjust the volume and voice of the narration.
Color blind modes
In Hogwarts Legacy, you can change the settings of the user interface (UI) elements, the elements of the head-up display (HUD), and adapt them to people with protanopia, deuteranopia or tritanopia.
Graphic settings for the visually impaired
Other accessibility features in Hogwarts Legacy for the visually impaired include:
- adjust settings such as brightness, motion blur, depth of field, chromatic aberration, and film grain;
- text scaling to make it easier to read subtitles displayed on the screen;
- setting high contrast for text or text background;
- changing the game environment to gray-scale and applying contrasting colors to key elements like all characters and moving objects;
- camera shake adjustment;
- players can use Xbox Magnifier and PlayStation Zoom.
Hearing impaired settings
In Hogwarts Legacy, you can use the following setting for the hearing impaired:
- adjusting the volume of music, sound effects and dialogues;
- subtitles during dialogues are enabled automatically when you first start the game;
- the game supports surround sound for various speaker configurations;
- displaying visual notifications for key in-game sound effects.
Customizing gameplay settings
Hogwarts Legacy has the following settings that you can customize to your needs:
- aiming mode can be changed between hold and toggle;
- reversing the camera axis;
- changing the function of the analog sticks;
- adjustable cursor sensitivity, aiming and camera movement;
- the DualSense function for PS5 allows you to control your character when flying on a broomstick or a mount.
Difficulty levels
There are 4 difficulty levels in Hogwarts Legacy that affect combat, environmental puzzles, and other more challenging in-game activities. You can change the difficulty level at any time during the game.
Tutorial
The tutorial feature is automatically enabled the first time you launch the game. Tutorial notifications remain on screen until the feature is disabled by the player.
