What are the world tendencies?
World tendencies are mechanics that affect many things, such as the appearance of individual NPCs, new, previously unavailable paths or access to certain items. There is a pure white tendency and a pure black tendency. Between, there are shades of gray and black. However, it is worth mentioning that we start in every world with neutral tendency, which in principle does not help in anything, but also does not interfere.
Black and white world tendency - how are they different?
Depending on your actions in a given land, your tendency will become more white or black. Black represents evil, while white represents good. The biggest difference between black and white is the strength of the opponents. In a land with a tendency leaning towards "pure white" opponents are not as strong and your HP is higher. However, you get fewer souls for defeating enemies.
The opposite is true in the case of lands where the world tendency is black. Then your health is reduced, opponents are much harder to defeat, but offer far better rewards. Depending on the world tendency, you can get rid of some opponents, or create new ones in some locations.
Character tendency
In the game, there is also the character tendency. It must be remembered that these are two separate tendencies. Depending on how the player behaves in the game world, this will affect his tendency. To get the "pure black" character tendency, you must die in the form of a "body" (possessing all health), be killed by an invader, kill defenseless NPCs, such as vendors or blacksmiths. In the case of the pure white character tendency, you must kill the invaders, defeat the Red Phantoms, and bosses in the game.
