Why did another player attack us?
As you traverse new lands and kill more enemies on your way, you may suddenly receive a notification that another player is haunting your world as a phantom. What to do in such a situation? First, you need to understand why you were attacked. There are many possibilities. The first is being connected to the internet. If you're playing online, and you're connected to the Internet, expect to be attacked by another player.
What if you do not want to disconnect from the internet, and, at the same time, don't want to be haunted by other players? Play in the soul form. Soul form occurs when your health is limited and your character has died in body form. Playing in the body form, you expose yourself to attacks from other players.
How can we counter this?
However, once someone attacks you, you have several options on how to deal with another player. First, equipping the graverobber's ring will reduce the invaders '"aggro range" by 50%, making it less likely that someone will attack you. In addition, thanks to the ring, other players have trouble seeing you from a distance. The second way is to buy from Saint Urban a miracle called Banish which allows you to exile another player. However, it is a requirement to have a boss soul Old Monk (3-3) and giving it to Urban. When the attacking player is near you, use this miracle to send him back to his world.
There is another way, however, it is very dishonorable, as it also involves receiving the so-called hate mails, that is, disconnect from the internet at the moment when you receive a notification that a particular player is invading your world.
Profit and loss
However, if you have nothing to lose, or just want to fight with the invader, do everything not to fight near other opponents, because then the enemy has the advantage. He is ignored by other foes. Defeating another player in your world will cause the world to trend towards pure white, while your death will cause the opposite effect. In addition, you will lose the souls you currently possess, so you will be forced to pick them up again, so as not to lose them in the end. Therefore, it is important to fight in a place that is free from enemies.
