On this page of the guide to Demon's Souls Remake, you will learn how to complete the basic tutorial in the game. Your goal will be to reach the Nexus.

After creating a character, you will appear in a new location. You will begin your adventure in a tunnel. First, read the messages that are on the ground. They will teach you the basics in Demon's Souls Remake. After exiting the tunnel on the right side will be the first opponent. Defeat him and move on.

Moving forward, you will enter the building. There you will meet another opponent. A little further, you will meet two more enemies. After defeating them, go further forward.

Going up the stairs, beware of the enemy to the left, who will immediately attack you. When you defeat him, go up the stairs. Pick up an object that is located near the body of a dead soldier.

Then on the left side there is a bridge, go to the guardrail and jump down to the very bottom. You'll find four opponents there. Defeat them one by one, instead of attacking four at the same time.

Once you have defeated your opponents, approach the wedge in the ground. However, do not interact with it - there is an item to pick up in front of the sword. Pick it up, go back to the wedge and touch it.

It'll move you to another part of the site. Go forward, where you will meet the first opponent. He is somewhat more durable than previous enemies. It is worth blocking his attack, then to attack from behind. A little further, you will encounter another enemy of the same type. Beat him like the last one.

Going through a narrow corridor, you will encounter a new opponent with characteristic blue reflections on the helmet. It is more difficult to defeat than the previous enemies. Keep in mind that it usually attacks in a series of two / three blows. His attacks inflict great damage, he is also durable. You have several options to defeat him. His attacks are easy to predict, all you have to do is pair them up and make a riposte.

However, if you do not have a shield, or you are afraid that you will not be able to perform a good pairing, throw bombs or spells at him. As a last resort, approach him, attack him two, three times and then attack him and leave again. Repeat this step until the opponent dies. It is also not worth fighting with him in the corridor, as it is very narrow. Get him out of there.

Moving on, you will encounter another such opponent. Proceed as before. Continue ahead and go up the stairs.

At the top there is an opponent with a crossbow on the left side. Go to him quickly and kill him. Then pick up the item, you will find there a soul, which you can later use to get a certain part of the souls to spend. Then turn right towards the big cauldron.

Go towards the stairs to the top, there you will encounter a foe with a crossbow and an opponent with a sword. Defeat them and get through the fog. You do not have to fight the boss yet, and you do not have to prepare too much. However, be careful, because after passing through the fog, on the left side you will be attacked by the enemy.

Beat him, but before you go left, go right. There's a healing item next to the bars. Then turn around and go forward in the other direction.

There's another fog up there. This time, passing through it, you will enter the arena with the boss. It is the Vanguard Demon. He's the first boss to stand in your way. Don't worry if you can't defeat him, because later you will fight him again, so you will get his soul. It will be good to remove the heavy armor, because it will not protect you from the damage; in this case, evades are much more useful. If you managed to defeat the boss, the sword will appear. Touch it to move on. It will also give you the boss's soul. You'll move to an unknown location. You will meet a great dragon there. Go down, pick up all the items, then approach him to activate the cutscene, in which you will die and move to the Nexus. If you do not defeat the Vanguard Demon, you will immediately move to the Nexus.
