Last update: 24 June 2021
On this page of the guide to Demon's Souls Remake, you will read about what to pay attention to when choosing a weapon and what its damage depends on.
The choice of weapons is always a matter of debate, some players will value speed over strength, others will prefer to hit once and be done with it. One cannot deny, there are a lot of weapons. However, they can be divided into several types, such as axes, daggers, etc.
Each type of weapon is features something special. Daggers are very fast and can deal critical hits, but they have a very small range and do not cause much damage. On the other hand, very large swords can sometimes even kill an opponent with a single attack, but they are very slow and heavy, which makes the player lose mobility. When choosing your weapon, keep in mind whether you care about faster or more powerful attacks.
It is also important to look at weapon parameters, such as scaling weapons from a given attribute. For example, going into the weapons tab, we can check the letters from E to S in its statistics. If a given weapon has an "S" with even a strength attribute, it means that it will deal much more damage, since it additionally scales with the strength points of your character. The same can be done with dexterity, magic and faith. However, if a weapon shows that, for example, scales from skill points, having an e rank, it means that you will only slightly increase the damage dealt by this weapon.
Keep in mind that it is best to improve weapons that have the ranks A or S at the attribute in which we invest very heavily, because it gives a very large damage bonus!
