YOLO! Or Not Trophy in Dead Cells Dead Cells Guide

This section includes the description of requirements and methods for unlocking the YOLO! Or Not? Achievement in Dead Cells. It is a brown trophy awarded for cheating death, i.e. for avoiding character's instant death upon losing all health points. Unlocking this trophy requires you to use one of the mutations. Below, you can find detailed instructions on how to accomplish this.

How to avoid death in Dead Cells?

In order to unlock this trophy, equip your hero with the Ygdar Orus Li Ox mutation (screenshot above). This mutation saves your character from certain death once per playthrough. After your hero loses all health points, the mutation activates and grants you another chance (the main protagonist regains a small amount of health, leaving him weakened).

What is important, is that the Ygdar Orus Li Ox mutation has to be the first one you select. It will not be available later on, even if you return to the same safe zone.

After you chose the aforementioned mutation just let any opponent take all of your hero's health points. The trophy is unlocked as the mutation activates - when it saves the main protagonist from dying.

Additional note: after the Ygdar Orus Li Ox mutation is used, it is removed from the slot in the mutations menu. Next time you visit a safe zone, you can select another mutation in its place. The game will not allow you to choose Ygdar Orus Li Ox again during the same playthrough.
