Battles in Stellar Blade can be challenging and thus carry a high risk of the main heroine's death. On this guide page, we answer the question whether death in Stellar Blade has negative consequences - whether you should be afraid of losing experience points or having to replay a large part of the game. We also described the operation of the WB Pump gadget, which grants you instant resurrection.
Defeat screen
- When Eve dies, the game displays a game over screen with the famous YOU DIED text, known from, among others, Souls games.
- By default, the only option you can choose on the death screen is respawn (Square on the controller). You cannot quickly return to the main menu, nor open the list with saves.
Rebirth after death
- There are no penalties for death in Stellar Blade. You don't have to worry about losing experience points, unspent skill points, gold, Vitcoins, or Eve's gear.
- The default respawn point is the nearest camp - the good news is that you will find it before each boss and if you fail, you do not have to repeat a large portion of the game.
- In some cases, the game may take you back to the last checkpoint. It can be, for example, in the middle of the street. All of this is aimed at reducing the amount of time needed to return to the place where Eve died.
WB Pump - single revival in battle
- Later in the campaign, you will start finding WB Pump consumable items - they allow you to resurrect the heroine. WB Pump allows you to resurrect EVE without restarting the fight and without having to return to the nearest save point.
- WB Pump may appear in shops (in limited quantities) and it can also be found as loot in larger chests.
- After EVE is killed by a monster, besides respawning at the camp, you can get an additional option of using the WB Pump.
- Sacrificing the WB Pump will allow you to immediately continue the current battle. This is particularly helpful during longer and more difficult battles with bosses. However, there is an important limitation - you can only use a WB Pump once per fight. The second death in the same fight will force you to respawn. All WB Pumps you pick up are moved to the storage in the camp. In your inventory, you can carry 1 WB Pump.
- Using the WB Pump is not possible if EVE died outside of combat, for example, after falling from a great height or falling into moving sands in the Great Desert.
