in Stellar Blade, Abaddon is a boss enemy encountered on Eidos 7 on the top level of the Parking Tower. On this page we provide a breakdown of the battle that takes place during Scavenger Adam story task - you'll learn how to respond to the boss's blue attack, how to avoid lightning bolts and ranged attacks as well as how to effectively deplete Abaddon's health bar.
Encountering Abaddon on Eidos 7
- Abaddon is the second boss encountered during the main story. You will find him during the exploration of Eidos 7 - a planet visited in the course of Scavenger Adam story quest taking place after the prologue.
- The path will lead you to the Parking Tower location. On its middle level, there is a Supply Camp and this is a perfect opportunity to prepare for the battle.
- Abaddon is found on the highest level of the Parking Tower. The battle is mandatory and you need to defeat the boss in order to be able to continue with the game.
Before the encounter, we recommend buying Focus Boost upgrade which increases the window of opportunity for Perfect Parries. More on how to make the game easier can be found on Difficulty Levels page of our guide.
How to fight the boss?
- Most of Abaddon's attacks can be stopped with parrying (Perfect Parry will produce the best results). The boss can fire a combination of attacks one after another and try to parry every single one.
- Also, wait for the opportunity to use Beta skills (L1 + corresponding button) - they will allow faster elimination of the boss.
- Abaddon can attack with powerful blue attacks. The ideal way to counter them is the Blink ability that you could unlock in the camp before the encounter.
- To perform Blink, you need, at the right moment, (Eve's weapon will light up in blue) tilt the analog stick up and press Circle. A correctly performed action will make the heroine appear behind the boss, avoiding damage.
- Another group of Abaddon's attacks are yellow attacks, based on electricity. The best way to avoid them is getting away from the boss and running sideways. This will allow you to avoid many of Abaddon's ranged attacks, such as lightning bolts, projectiles, or shockwaves.
- The boss's yellow combination is concluded with a strong pound on the ground. After Abaddon ends his yellow combination, quickly return to attacking him in melee range.
- Keep fighting until the boss's health is almost completely depleted. At that moment, he will be stunned and to continue you need to press Triangle.
- You'll need to pass a QTE sequence and conclude it by pressing L1 (screenshot above). This will allow Eve to perform an execution on the boss.
