Stalker is the name of the boss that Eve has to defeat during the course of Alpha Signal main quest in Stellar Blade. On this page of our guide, we break down the encounter that takes place in Rail Yard in Matrix 11. You'll learn how to correctly respond to Stalker's attacks and how to damage him successfully. Finally, we describe a unique reward unlocked for defeating the boss - Burst skill tree.

How to prepare for a fight?

1. The Stalker is the first of as many as 3 different bosses that you'll have to face in Matrix 11 region of Stellar Blade - all of this is done to advance the Alpha Signal story quest.
2. The boss's lair is the Depot, and the monster appears right after you enter it (the picture above). Before the entrance to the Rail Yard, there is a Supply Camp found next to the ramp. This is a good opportunity to rest and replenish supplies.

How to defeat Stalker?

1. The basis of your tactics for this boss should be inflicting short combinations of attacks and parrying incoming Stalker's blows. The monster's attacks are quite fast, so flawless presses of Guard will be necessary.

1. You can also use on beta skills, consumable items (e.g. grenades and mines) and ranged weapons - these latter ones are worth noting after stunning the Stalker.
2. Stalker has a red attack in his repertoire in which he fires a combination of lightning-fast blows. Try to parry them as they appear or if you cannot, hold Guard button to minimize the damage received.

1. Equally dangerous are yellow attacks of the boss - these can be scattering boulders that inflict damage, performing a jump concluded with a ground pound or a charge attempt. Be ready to run away/dodge to sides at any time.

The boss may decide to use:

1. a blue attack - counter it with Blink (analog stick up + Circle on controller)
2. a purple attack - use Repulse (analog stick down + Circle) or quickly back away from the boss if you don't have it bought.

1. During the fight, a wrestling sequence may also ensue (example in the screenshot). To win it, you need to rapidly press Square - success means avoiding receiving damage and striking the boss with a powerful attack.

1. After stunning the boss in the final part of the battle, you need to complete a QTE sequence - press Triangle to start the execute scene, and after some time, press Triangle for the second time (screenshot above) to avoid the last attack of the boss.

Burst skill tree unlocked

1. With the battle won, aside from standard rewards such as Gear, Weapon Cores, etc. the Burst tree will be unlocked. This is a completely new tree with new abilities available.
2. Burst is charged mainly, among others, with perfect moves (Perfect Parry, Dodge, Blink, Repulse). To activate it, you need to press R1 and a corresponding button (Square, Cross, Circle, or Triangle). However, to be able to activate different variants of Burst, you need to first unlock corresponding skills from the Burst tree.
