In Stellar Blade, there are some skill trees that are initially unavailable. On this page of our guide, we show how to unlock Burst and Tachy skill trees and describe the abilities/skills found in them. This will help you get 100% of the skills and attacks available to Eve.
Initially unavailable skill trees
- After starting the campaign of Stellar Blade, you will quickly notice that only 3 of the skill trees are available, with you being able to buy skills only from them.
- The additional 2 trees are unavailable and the game doesn't inform of the requirements or circumstances for their unlocking.
Unlocking the Burst Tree
- The Burst skill tree is unlocked after defeating Stalker, one of the bosses encountered in Matrix 11 region during the Alpha Signal story mission.
- After you win the battle, collect all items that been dropped by the boss. One of them is an ability - Burst - that unlocks an entire skill tree dedicated to it.
- In the Burst tree, you'll primarily find 4 active skills - each costs 1 skill point, and we recommend unlocking all of them as soon as possible. This will allow you to check out their effect and decide which ones to upgrade.
- Burst is symbolized by the red bar - it appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, above the Beta bar (see the picture).
- Burst bar can only be charged by activating Eve's unique moves - Perfect Parries, Perfect Dodges, Blinks, and Repulses.
- After the bar is sufficiently charged, you can use the R1 second button combination to activate the Frenzy skill (e.g. R1 Square). Most of them are unique, powerful attacks, however, one of the skills is more passive in nature, increasing the overall strength and attack speed of Eve.
Unlocking the Tachy tree
- Tachy skill tree is unlocked shortly after dealing with the final boss of the Alpha Signal story mission taking place in Matrix 11.
- With your successful return to Xion, a new story quest - Hidden Truth - will be activated. One of its objectives is to meet with Lily at the landing pad in the city.
- What's unique about this tree is that most of the skills found in it are already unlocked. The remaining branches of the tree mainly contain upgrades for these unlocked skills.
- Along with the tree, a new ability - Tachy Mode (L3 R3) - is unlocked. You can learn that it is ready to be activated by a wing icon appearing in the bottom left corner of the screen (screenshot above). It is found above the medicine icon.
- Tachy Mode gives a bonus to damage from all Eve's attacks, including basic ones. Unlike the skills from the Burst tree, it doesn't only empower special skills.
- In Tachy Mode, Eve will deal much more damage even with basic attacks and be able to use new attacks from the Tachy skill tree. Once Tachy Mode is activated, Eve will change her basic weapon to Tachy Blade.
- Tachy Mode can only be activated for a short period of time and is symbolized by the white bar at the bottom of the screen. You can also disable it manually e.g. after defeating all enemies in the area.
