Bonuses

Profits

Enables construction of city projects leading to science victory.

This district's task is to unlock projects that allows you to achieve science victory. Even if you don't care about this type of victory, building one district of this type is a good idea because after launching Earth satellite you remove the fog of war.

Below, you will find useful information about every project available in this district.

Launching Earth Satellite

As the name suggests, this project's goal is to launch a satellite. When fulfilled, removes the fog of war and reveals the whole map but you should know that, regardless of which player did it, other players are informed about that. This is very important from multiplayer point of view because one of the nations can try to hinder fulfilling the project with its raids.

The project is available after researching Rocketry and can be done in any city that has spaceport.

Launch Moon Landing

The second stage in the battle for science victory. What is really interesting is that even if you don't want to achieve science victory, after launching the landing you receive a huge amount of culture points which can be helpful in achieving other types of victory. The culture bonus is based on your income of science points per turn (numbers in upper left corner of the screen). It is worth to have a developed science infrastructure and get the best profits from projects because the culture points that you get are ten times bigger than the numbers mentioned earlier.

In order to complete this project you have to research Satellites and have a district with a spaceport. It should be mentioned that if you have few districts with spaceports and you haven't already done any of the project goals then at this stage you can do both projects in different districts.

Establish a Martian Colony

This task consists of three independent projects that, just like the previous ones, can be done simultaneously. If victory by science is enabled in scenario options then, after finishing the three projects discussed below, you will the game. All of the required technologies are from the second level of technology tree for Information Era. This means that you get the access just before finishing all stages for that tree.

Name

Cost

Technology

Launch Mars Habitation project

3000 production points

Robotics

Launch Mars Reactor project

3000 production points

Nuclear Fusion

Launch Mars Hydroponics project

3000 production points

Nanotechnology

Notice, that each of the projects can be done in a different city but you should first check out whether any of the projects is worth starting in a city that may not have enough resources. If you want to achieve science victory before your enemies you must have a lot of production points so when starting a game you must think ahead and prepare yourself for those projects.
