Last update: 13 March 2022
This chapter of Civilization 6 game guide is dedicated to industrial zone and its unique version, available only for Germany - Hansa. Here, you will find important information about said district in Civ 6 and tips that will allow you to use its full potential.
Bonuses
Domestic trade | +1 to production |
International trade | +1 to production |
Civilian yields | +2 to production per citizen |
Production bonus for adjacent | +1 for each adjacent mine +1 for each adjacent quarry +1 per 2 adjacent districts |
Other | +1 to Great Engineer point per turn |
Production factor is the main determinant of how fast your cities are developing. Thanks to the development of industrial infrastructure you can generate additional profit of this factor which greatly increases the production potential of the whole civilization. Just like with theatre square, bonuses are only granted to their owners, not to trade partners. The growth on your population will multiply the production points bonus but don't forget about bonuses for adjacent so try to place this district on tiles near your mines and quarries. You should avoid using other adjacency bonuses because it can be hard to find a suitable terrain that will not interrupt the profits that you can get from other districts. Just like with other districts you get Great Engineer points which will make the production potential even greater. This is one of the most useful districts that plays its role perfectly, regardless of your choices when it comes to the type of victory that you want to achieve.
Bonuses - Hansa
Domestic trade | +1 to production |
International trade | +1 to trade |
Civilian yields | +2 to production per civilian |
Production bonus for adjacent | +1 for each adjacent resource +1 per 2 adjacent districts +2 per 2 adjacent commercial hub district |
Other | +1 to Great Engineer point per turn |
Take a look at the combination of two factors that are very helpful to Germany during a scenario. The adjacent bonus, presented in the table above, is much more profitable and allows for greater flexibility. Besides, in critical situations it will generate those bonuses despite unfavourable conditions. Remember, that the best profits are from adjacent commercial hubs so try to have at least two of those districts close to Hansa. The combination of productivity and big gold profits will certainly be helpful to your future actions and boost your chances to be victorious.
Buildings

Workshop | 175 production points Maintenance 1 Gold | +2 to production +1 citizen slot +1 to Great Engineer point |
Factory | 355 production points Maintenance 2 Gold | +3 to production +1 citizen slot +1 to Great Engineer point The bonus is extended to all cities within 6 tiles. |

This table shows the next steps in a development of this district. Remember, that bonuses that you get from them can combine but each building makes maintenance costs go higher. Germany has its own unique type of district but Japan has one unique building that gives interesting bonuses in a middle phase of a scenario. Electronics Factory raises city's productivity by one additional point but the advantage rises with a technology development because this building grants you one additional culture point.
Generally speaking, each next step of district's development should be done as quick as possible because it has a direct impact on all factors that decides on the victory. With high production factor you can even the loses, even if you made mistakes at the beginning of a scenario.
Project - Industrial Zone Projects
This projects grants you additional gold and Great Engineer points.
Notice, that this project doesn't increase a production potential when it is fulfilled but it gives you gold. You can use this project to put your production at rest and get two infrastructure or army elements in the same time.
