Rome is perfect for domination victory but, thanks to the abilities described above, can be used to achieve any of the victories. It is recommended to create new cities from the beginning of a game so each one of them can develop at the same pace and a free monument in each of them will improve their status and will reduce the time required for discovering new governments. Focus on trading routes so that they go through your cities but end in other player's ones. Remember that the distance between city centers shouldn't be bigger than 15 tiles, if you want to have trading routes between them. Each city, in the beginning, should be development in a different way and in the middle part even the differences in their infrastructure. If you are a new player then try to limit yourself in the beginning of the game to four cities. Thanks to that you will be able to have a good control over them.
