Lost Contact | Walkthrough | Main quest Seven Game Guide
Last update: 01 December 2017
Lost Contact is the third main quest in Seven: The Days Long Gone. You must visit Mortbane village and run an investigation there. What can make this quest difficult is the long journey to Mortbane and sneaking during exploration of the most important locations of that village.
Talk with the merchants (six in total) in three different parts of Lewmer. This also allows you to unlock a few side quests and learn that you have to wear a gas mask when exploring Mortbane. Gas Mask can be bought from the merchant in Lewmer who stands near the security checkpoint 02 and the visas vending machine (the item costs 13.2 auryte - see the picture) or you can find it in the later parts of the game (another option is to, e.g. get a Technomage Armour which also protects you from poisonous gas in Mortbane).
Mortbane is a long way from Lewmer, north-east from that village. You can get there in two ways. The first variant is to follow the path from Lewmer to Mortbane. Security checkpoint 02 is located near the exit from Lewmer - you need to have visa level 2 to go through it. This visa can be bought from the visa vending machine for 125 auryte or you can get it in a different way (more details can be found in How do I get better visas? chapter). While you are on your way to Mortbane, you can be attacked by bandits from The Wanted Man (escape them if you don't want to fight). You must also find a way to go through the security checkpoint 03. You can buy Visa Pill level 3 for 250 auryte or climb and go around the checkpoint. The picture above shows the destination - the hill located north-east from Mortbane from which you can slide down a rope.
The second option is to go through the excavation site entrance located in the north-east part of Lewmer - the picture above shows this place. That place requires a lot of climbing. You also have to watch out where you go so you won't fall down. You can also be stopped by guards. You should first start Valuable Experience side quest in Lewmer - thanks to it you will get a permission that will allow you to enter the excavation site. Watch out for infected in the quarantine zone and continue climbing. Reach the rooftop of the main building. Keep heading towards Mortbane (go north and then head north-east). You can get to the village by, e.g. climbing the long ladder.
In Mortbane you must examine the destroyed house and the destroyed church. Both places are in a restricted area guarded by Biomancers - sneak or kill one of them and get their outfit (remember to equip it afterwards).
If you chose to sneak then you can enter the destroyed house by going through the window on the upper floor (climb the crates) and remember to keep crouching. Use Sense Mode to find tracks. The upper floor has an opened safe, the ground floor has blood stains, destroyed entrance door and a drawer. You must solve a secret mechanism's puzzle. Examine objects in the house in the right order:
- Check out the boar's head on the wall (the upper floor)
- Check out the painting on the wall (the ground floor)
- Check out the chandelier on the wall (the upper floor)
This unlocks a secret stash (the picture above). Examine its content. Besides new information you get Scavenger's Chip, Rune EE and Chronosphere ability. You can also find Small Adrenaline Booster Syringe Schematic located on the ground floor.
If you want to sneak into the destroyed church then jump on the front balcony and go through the hole in the wall. Keep crouching when you are inside. Activate Sense Mode and search for interactive areas. You must examine marks left by a weapon, the container for a Nectar and the barricade (the opposite end of the building).
After that you can leave the church immediately or collect unique items. Open the safe presented in the picture (a simple mini-game in which you have to guess a password) and get a Nectar container. Besides that, you can also find Small Health Regeneration Syringe Schematic and Acrobat Fall Damage Upgrade II located on the church's rooftop. Leave the church and speak with Artanak. This unlocks another main quest.
