How to get auryte (gold) fast and what to buy with it? Seven Game Guide
Last update: 06 December 2017
Auryte serves as currency in Seven: The Days Long Gone. This page contains tips that can help you in becoming rich and give you advice on what you should spend it first. These tips are mainly for the beginning portion of the game when Teriel has very limited resources and can't spend huge amounts of gold.
Below, you can find the list of the best methods to get auryte:
- Sell items to merchants (example in the picture) - Sadly, each one of them has a limited amount of auryte. Merchants from the starting location usually have about 30-40 pieces of gold per person and about 50-60 auryte in the later parts of the game. You should visit them one by one and sell items for a price that doesn't exceed their amount of gold (at least not by much). You don't have to always trade your items for auryte. You can decide to exchange your goods, e.g. an unneeded weapon can be traded for a few syringes or unique weapons.
- Explore environment - Stashes, that you can check in detection mode, are the most important here. Most of them have at least a few pieces of auryte. Gold can also be found in locked containers that require you to use a lock pick or a drill.
- Bodies of defeated enemies - You can find a few pieces to several dozens of auryte.
- Complete quests - Mainly side quests. Sadly, only some of them reward you with auryte. Most of the times you will get blueprints, pieces of equipment or a quest giver's gratitude. Technomagi contracts always reward you with auryte (and, sometimes, can also give you additional rewards). You can check out your reward when you take a contract.
In the beginning of the game you should spend auryte only on buying new Visa Pills that will allow you to visit new parts of Peh. Visa level 2 can be bought for 112.5 or 125 auryte and level 3 costs 250. and a level 4 visa (it unlocks access to the biggest city in the game) for 350 auryte.
If you bought visas 02-04 and you still have auryte in your pockets then you can spend it on:
- Upgrading crafting stations. Leveling stations to level II costs (besides the necessary components) 100 auryte and level III costs 300 auryte.
- Crafting more useful upgrades, for your favorite weapon or passive upgrades. The second case requires better lockpicks that can allow you to open more difficult locks.
- Buying crafting materials that are very difficult to obtain. Limit yourself only to single items that are necessary for, e.g. crafting a particular upgrade. When it comes to materials for, e.g. crafting components you have a greater freedom in dismantling items.
Don't spend auryte on consumables (it is better to exchange, e.g. an unwanted weapon for a few syringes), weapons, pieces of armor and all other items that are easy to obtain during exploration.
