Does weather affect stealth? Seven Game Guide
Last update: 01 December 2017
The answer to that question is rather obvious - yes, in Seven: The Days Long Gone weather conditions as well as night and day cycle can make stealth easier. Below, you can find the most important information about this topic and tips that can teach you how to use weather conditions to your advantage.
The current time of a day has more impact on the "state" of the world. During the day the locations are guarded by a greater number of enemies who have a better field of view. At night, some guards go to sleep which means that number of patrols in restricted areas gets lowered. Their field of view is also shorter. You can also use the fact that there is a change of guards which takes place during the morning and evening hours. This means that, for a brief moment, some areas are without any guards.
Weather conditions have less impact on your stealth, mainly when it rains or when there is a storm. You can use it to your advantage - enemies will have more problems with detecting your moves and sounds that you generate. This means that you can, e.g. run while crouching.
The IMPORTANT tip is that you can change the current time of the day. Activate Sense Mode and press E. This displays a clock on your screen (the picture above). You can now select a specific hour (e.g. midnight).
