Down the Rabbit Hole is the fifth main quest in Seven: The Days Long Gone. Teriel still looks for Savaash and this time you have to visit Warden's Hold and make a contact with the Consortium. Warden's Hold is the biggest city in the game. There, you will have to search for clues and steal an item from a heavily guarded manor.
This quest starts in Savaash's hideout. You can't leave it by using the transportation network. Instead, find one of the ladders that leads on the rooftop of the station. Watch out for overgrown birds. Warden's Hold is south-west from here. Cross the small bridge (see the picture).
Turn south and then stick to the main path that leads to the city. Warden's Hold is in zone 4 which means that you need to get visa level 04 - use the vending machine near the security checkpoint 04 and spend 350 auryte to get it. Inside, you have to speak with Artanak.
You can notice three blue circles on the Warden's Hold's map - they show areas where you can overhear conversations. These places are marketplace, brothel and the Crucible arena. You don't have to visit each one of them although if you are interested in that then each one of the places has two conversations that you can overhear (always hide somewhere while standing inside of the white circle so you won't scare the people who talk to each other).
You only have to eavesdrop a conversation about a way to contact the Consortium. You can progress in two ways:
- Overhear a conversation between the two prostitutes in the brothel's main room. Stand behind the curtain - thanks to that Teriel won't be noticed by the women (see the picture).
- Overhear a conversation between the two men who stand on the tribunes in the Crucible.
Your next step is to reach the place where you can establish a contact with Consortium. Scan certain parts of the city in Sense Mode. The clue that you are looking for is shaped like a cylinder. You can find it near the brothel - located in the center of the city (see the picture). This triggers a new conversation with Artanak.
Keep using Sense Mode and search for tracks that are shaped like a rabbit. An example is presented in the picture above.
Important note - Always use Sense Mode in the areas marked with blue circle before you do anything else. If you are too fast at finding them then the game may not help you in following the path marked with white rabbits.
Follow the white rabbits - be patient and keep using Sense Mode to find new tracks (they are always in Sense Mode's range). The destination is presented in the picture (the game will also play a new conversation with Artanak). This place is in the south part of the city where you can jump down. Approach the edge and let Teriel to fall down. Pipes will break your fall. Do that a few more times.
You are now in Consortium's hideout. Activate Sense Mode and examine the big pipe (it must become interactive first) and get closer to it. Then, you must scan the smaller pipe on the left and take Consortium Note out from it.
Teriel's new objective is to steal the helmet from Blackwood Manor located in the west part of the city. The manor's main entrances are guarded by Blackwood guards - they won't let anyone to get in. Don't try to sneak around them while using invisibility because the laser barrier can either kill you or injure badly when you touch it.
The easiest way to enter the manor is to jump from one of the adjacent metal platforms on its wall. You can also climb on the neighbor building and use vent shafts to get there. Once you are in the manor, you should try to get a guard disguise. Kill one of the lone ones (example in the picture) and equip the outfit. This allows you to move freely around the manor.
The item, that you have to find for the Consortium, is located on the highest floor of the mansion. Insight Helmet is inside the safe marked in the picture - solve a simple mini-game during which you must guess a four-digit combination and then open it. Getting there with a guard disguise is simple. However, if you don't have it, you will have to climb up without making any noises. Enter the room with the safe by going through the window and kill the person who stands next to it.
Take the helmet to the Consortium's hideout. Visit the south part of the city once more, perform a "leap of faith" and reach the room with the pipes. Activate Sense Mode and scan one of them. After that you can place the helmet into it. Activate Sense Mode and interact with other pipe to receive a reply from the Consortium. This starts another main quest but you also get 2 rewards - Assassin's Chip and Flashswap ability (upgrades Flash).
