Tracking and skinning in New World involve animal hunting. This skill will allow you to get skins, meat and other crafting materials from animals. Leather tools
To skin animals, you'll need a skinning knive, which is crafted by Engineers. There are 5 classes of skinning knifes, and the speed of skinning is affected by what class of knife you have.

Skinning and tracking
Tracking animals in New World is possible after reaching a specific skill level. Depending on your level, the following animal icons will appear on your compass.

Developing Tracking and Skinning will not only allow you to track animals, but also obtain crafting materials from them. The following table tells you what level of skill you need to have to skin a given animal.

Fast leveling of Tracking and Skinning
The fastest way to develop tracking and skinning in New World is visiting sites with Wolves. You can easily find them on the map - they are marked with a two wolves icon. In such places, you will find many wolves, moreover, they will keep respawning. After placing your cursor on the mentioned location, you will see the recommended level of the area - the higher the level, the more powerful wolves will be there. They will be harder to defeat, but skinning them will provide more experience points.
Tracking and scoring bonuses
The attribute associated with tracking and skinning is Dexterity. Developing your dexterity to a specific level will earn you one of the following bonuses.
- 50 Dexterity Points: 10% to skin speed.
- 100 Dexterity points: 20% to movement speed for 3 seconds after skinning.
- 150 Dexterity Points: -10% of the weight of leather.
- 200 Dexterity points: 10% to skin speed.
- 250 Dexterity Points: skinning provides 10% more raw materials.
