In New World, there are 5 types of logging axes available - all of them crafted using Engineering. The better the ax, the faster the tree is cut down. In addition, better axes provide more perk slots, which translates into additional bonuses.

Trees in New World are divided into 4 categories. Depending on the type of the tree, it may be avaialble for cutting only with a certain level of Logging. Most trees provide raw material in the form of ordinary wood, but higher quality materials are obtained from wyrdwood and ironwood.

Fast leveling of Logging

You can develop Logging in New World only by cutting the trees your skill level allows you - New World: Logging - gathering - Gathering - New World Guide

You can develop Logging in New World only by cutting the trees your skill level allows you. At level 0-50, you can only cut young trees - once you reach 50, you can move on to mature trees. From level 100, you can move on to Wyrdwood - you can find them in Brightwood location. After reaching 175, make your way to Edengrove, to be able to cut Ironwood - the trees of the highest quality.

Logging attribute bonuses

  2. 150 Constitution: reduces the weight of harvested wood by 10%.
  3. 200 Constitution: 10% to the speed of cutting trees.
  4. 250 Constitution: cut wood provide 10% more raw materials.
  5. 300 Constitution - 25% chance of cutting a tree with a single move.
