The carrying capacity determines how many items you can carry at a given time - the larger the carrying capacity, the more things will fit in the equipment. This is extremely important, because New World mostly focuses on acquiring materials for crafting. On this page of the guide you will learn how to increase the carrying capacity and where to store items.
Bigger Bags
Carrying capacity w New World can be increased by equipping a bag. A basic 50-point bag can be easily obtained by completing the task Between Innkeeps. Getting better bags involves crafting or buying them from other players.
Bag Crafting is related to the Armorsmithing skill and takes place at Outfitting Station in the settlement. The better the quality of the bag, the higher the level of Armorsmithing required:
- Coase Leather Adventurer's Satchel - Armorsmithing Level 0
- Rugged Leather adventurer's Satchel - Armorsmithing Level 50
- Layered Leather Adventurer's Satchel - Armorsmithing Level 100
- Infused Leather Adventurer's Satchel - Paying level 150
To make a satchel, you will need Leather, Fabrics i Metals. Depending on the quality of the bag, better quality raw materials will be required.
In addition to the above materials for crafting, you also need the Rune of holding. You can buy them from your faction. It does not matter which faction in New World you work with - each has the same runes.
Storage of items
Of course, even with the best bag you can not keep all the items with you. So it is worth knowing that in each settlement, there is a special storage compartment for storing items. We discussed this topic on a separate page of the guide to New World: Where is the storage?. Storage space is limited, but you can increase it by selecting appropriate territory upgrades or buying your own home.
