Expeditions in New World are equivalent to dungeons or raids from other MMO games. They are a great way to gain experience quickly or collect rare materials for crafting. They also are a source of better weapons and armor. During the expedition, along with other players, you will complete simple tasks and stand against many enemies and bosses. On this page of the guide, you will learn all the expeditions in the game and the rewards you get for participating in them. You'll also learn how to join the expedition.
List of all expeditions
In New World, there are 6 different expeditions available. Each of them has its own story, different opponents and bosses, and various rewards. To take part in a given expedition, you have to reach a certain character level, and every expedition starts in a different location.
Name of the expedition | Location | Recommended character level |
Amrine Excavations | Windsward | 25 |
Starstone Barrows | Everfall | 35 |
The Depths | Restless Shore | 45 |
Dynasty Shipyard | Ebonscale Reach | 55 |
Lazarus Instrumentality | Reekwater | 60 |
Garden of Genesis | Edengrove | 60 |
Rewards for participating in the expedition
First of all, during the expedition, you have a chance to get good-quality weapons. Just before the start of the expedition, you will see what weapons can be found. In addition, you can collect rare materials for crafting. Of course, completing the expedition guarantees a lot of experience points and gold, as well as a lot of other items obtained from chests and defeated enemies.
How to join the expedition?
To start any expedition, you will need an appropriate key. These keys are crafted at Stonecutting Table in the settlement. It should be added that one key is enough per group of players - it doesn't have to be owned by each of the players separately.
Having a group is also necessary - minimum number of player is 3. In this case, it is worth assigning the roles. In the group, it will be useful to have at least one tank (a player with a lot of Health focusing the enemies on themselves), one healer (character healing other players), and one character dealing high damage.
You can go on an expedition with any player - even from another faction. There is no need to have friends in the game because the game chat groups are constantly looking for players willing to join the expedition. Often, you even don't need to create a key.
With a group and the right key, go to the starting point of the expedition - you will find them on the map in the locations described at the beginning of this guide page. Now, you just need to start the expedition (which is done by the player with the key) and complete subsequent objectives.
