PvP modes in New World are related to factions - without belonging to a faction, you can not fight with other players. This page contains all the information about PvP. We describe what PvP looks like in the open world and how to challenge another player to a duel. You will also learn the rules of faction wars and learn how to join the taking over of Rally Points.
Open world PvP
Players from different factions can fight each other in the game world. PvP mode can be activated at level 10 of the character (by default after pressing the U key). Activating PvP mode means you can attack and be attacked by other players with PvP mode enabled. This can make the exploration and quests more difficult because you can encounter a stronger player or a whole group of players from a different faction anywhere. In addition, not only you be able to fight with other players, but also enabling PvP mode provides a bonus to gaining experience. It is worth adding that players willing to PvP usually gather around the Forts.
The safe places are settlements - even between players with active PvP mode can't fight there.
Duels
Another way to do PvP in New World is a challenge of another player to a duel. You can do this from the community menu level or by typing a command in the chat - /duel [player's nickname]. The fight is no different from the one in the open world, but it is fairer - it is only between players participating in the duel.
Faction wars
Faction wars in New World are unlocked when you join a faction and company. War begins when one faction wants to take over the territory of the other faction. Joining it is possible by interacting with a war board in the settlement on the war territory. War is a fight between two 50-player groups attacking or defending checkpoints.
Declaring war is expensive. Companies often collect gold for war among their members.
Outpost Rush
Outpost Rush is available at 60 character level, and like wars, they involve fighting between factions. The number of players participating in the Rush is less than in war (20 vs 20), but it doesn't require spending gold, only having the right number of players. You can start the Outpost Rush at any member of your faction.. The event is about collecting resources, taking control over posts, and killing opponents.
