How to unlock: Receive an e-mail from Kallo [Tempest].

Here you can find the walkthrough for Truth and Trespass quest. This is one of the side quests in Mass Effect: Andromeda game that belongs to the category called "Allies and relationships". The quest is unlocked in the last part of the main campaign. You must investigate the motives behind hijacking the previously found Salarian Ark.

Unlocking the quest

E-mail from Kallo

This quest should become available sometime after completing The Journey to Meridian main quest. You must wait for an e-mail from Kallo from which you learn that he wants to meet with you. Go to Kallo and talk about the Salarian Ark and the message, played by Kallo, about the suspicious circumstances of its hijacking.

Go to the meeting place on Havarl

Fly on Havarl and when you are on its surface head to the ravine located in the central part. You must reach the south part of that ravine, expect fighting with numerous Remnant.

After you reach the marker you will be suddenly attacked by Kett. Defeat them.

Search the area

The container with Kett supplies

After the fights you can look around the area. You must use the scanner on the big container to learn that inside of it there are Kett supplies and then you must check it out (the interaction button). After that a conversation with Salarian called Saelen will play automatically. During the dialog he says that Dr. Eden is the traitor. Agree to find out whether he is right or not (additionally, you receive Andromeda Viability Points).

Return to the Tempest and fly on Voeld. The next two objectives can be completed in any order, their description can be found below.

Scan evidence from Kett handler on Voeld

Kill the handler and scan his corpse

The location that you must examine during this objective is a small base located in the north part of Voeld. When you get there you must fight with Kett but be careful because there are many elite variants. One of them is the Kett handler who uses better equipment and has armor. Defeat all Kett in the area and search for the handler's corpse so you can examine them. Use the scanner on the fallen enemy and listen to what SAM has to say (you also receive Andromeda Viability Points).

Scan Dr. Aden's equipment on Voeld

In order to find the equipment you must go to Techiix, the location with friendly NPCs located in the center of Voeld. Head to the building pointed by the game and use the scanner on the laboratory equipment presented in the picture.

Speak with Raeka/Hayjer about your findings

Go back on Nexus and use the tram to reach Nexus: Operations Center. There, meet with Raeka or Hayjer (this depends on your choice made during the previous main quest called Hunting the Archon).

Search Rand Lon's apartment

The plant is one of a few objects that can be scanned in the apartment

Go back to Nexus: Docking Bay and head to the upper level of the common area. Unlock the door to Rand Lon's apartment and start searching through it with your scanner. You must find and scan the following clues:

• Personal terminal
• The tracks on the floor near the bed
• Talc traces on the table
• The plant

Besides that you should use the terminal and read all stored messages.

Leave Rand Lon's apartment

When you try to leave the apartment you will come across Rand Lon. During the conversation with the Salarian you can tell him the truth about why you are here or lie, although in the second case Rand Lon will figure out who sent you. You can end the conversation immediately or (a better idea) you can ask Rand Lon about Saelen.

Go to the appointed place on Elaaden

Fly on Elaaden. The location that you must investigate is in the north part of the planet and if you haven't already completed the quest connected with colonizing Elaaden then you should remember that you must hurry up and complete all actions before your life support bar depletes (there are no forward station nearby and no places that cast shadow). Your target is the burning transporter on desert.

Scan the ground

Activate the scanner and find the footprints presented in the picture above. Don't deactivate the scanner because you must now follow the tracks and without the device you can't do that.

Defeat scavengers

Reach the small building in the desert and defeat all enemies

The footprints leads to the small building on the desert and inside of said building you will have to deal with scavengers. Try to eliminate them quickly, especially if your life support bar is almost depleted.

Help Saelen

You can trust the "real" Saelen or question his version of events

After the fight you must find Saelen lying down on the ground. Speak with him and you learn that he is the "real" Saelen and the person that you met before was Dr. Aden. The game allows you to choose whether you believe him or not.

You receive a new objective in which you must meet with the impostor on Kadara. Go to Kadara's wilderness and head to the cave locate in Draullir in the south part of the planet - the entrance is presented in the picture 1. Inside the cave you will find Dr. Aden. After starting the conversation and learning about his plans you must make another decision (the second picture):

• You can let Aden leave but tell him to send you all intelligence data that he gathered (the left dialog option) - This outrage Saelen but you get data that will be send via e-mail.
• You can allow to arrest Aden (the right dialog option) - You won't get data but Saelen will be happy because of your decision. Moreover, you can count on Saelen's help during the final mission - Meridian: The Way Home.
