- Director Tann - Speak with him again after unlocking A Better Beginning main quest.
- Nakmor Kesh - Speak with her about every topic.
- Tiran Kandros - Speak with him about every topic.
- Foster Addison - Speak with her about every topic.
- Scientists: Professor Herik, Doctor Aridana, Chief Lucan - Initially, they won't appear on your mission goals list but you can speak with them nonetheless. By doing that you can unlock other quests - Task: Missing Scientists, Task: Comparatively Alien and Task: Hitting Rocks for Science.
Rewards for finishing the quest: XP.
Missing Scientists
How to unlock: Speak with Dr. Aridana [Nexus: Operations Center].
This quest is unlocked after meeting with Dr. Aridana on Nexus (you can also receive an e-mail about this topic). She asks your team to find a missing science vessel. This quest can be continued after you get Tempest ship. Use the galaxy map to get to Eriksson system. When you are there, activate the scanner to find an anomaly and send a probe there. Investigate the science vessel to complete the quest.
Rewards for finishing the quest: XP, Remnant Research Data.
Comparatively Alien
How to unlock: Speak with Professor Herik [Nexus: Operations Center].
This quest is unlocked after meeting with Professor Herik on Nexus (you can also receive an e-mail about this topic). Herik researches the flora and fauna in Andromeda galaxy. He asks you to scan any newly found species of flora and fauna. You can do this quest when you get on Eos, although new species can also be found on other planets that can be studied for potential colonization. To complete this quest you must scan in total 10 specimens.
Rewards for finishing the quest: XP, Research Data.
Hitting Rocks For Science
How to unlock: Speak with Chief Lucan [Nexus: Operations Center].
This quest is unlocked after meeting with Chief Lucan on Nexus (you can also receive an e-mail about this topic). Lucan runs geophysical measurements and he asks you to scan 16 different minerals. First minerals that can be scanned are on Eos (they are marked on the map), although next minerals can also be found on other plants that can be studied for potential colonization.
Warning - The minerals on Eos can only be accessed after completed process of terraforming - when the radiation disappears. Otherwise, getting to the markers is hindered by high radiation from which even Nomad can't protect you.
Rewards for finishing the quest: XP, Research Data.
Lost Brother
How to unlock: Speak with Nigel McCoy [Nexus: Cryo Bay].
This quest is unlocked after meeting with Nigel McCoy in Nexus: Cryo Bay. Nigel asks you to commemorate his brother's death by leaving his pendant in an appointed place on Eos.
You should take care of this quest after finishing A Better Beginning main quest because it will be easier for you to travel through the planet. The place where you must leave the pendant is on a hill north from the first Eos base. You can get there by using Nomad (drive on the top of the mountain west from the place where you must leave the item). The destination is presented on the picture above.
Rewards for finishing the quest: XP.
Path of a Hero
How to unlock: Read an e-mail from Keri T'Vessa.
The earliest moment for unlocking this quest is after getting on Tempest for the first time. Read the e-mail (Interviews) from Keri T'Vessa. She wants to make a series of interviews with you for her documentary. The journalist can be met in Nexus: Docking Bay. During your first conversation you should accept the proposition for an interview (you can also flirt with her) and choose whatever options you want (your choices become your official statements regarding the most important events in the Andromeda Galaxy).
However, one interview won't complete this quest. In the later part of the game you can receive another e-mails or find Keri again during your stay at Nexus. The, you should complete next interviews. During the interviews you can continue flirting with Keri, as well as suggest a "more serious" affair.
Sometime after finishing Hunting the Archon main quest you should receive and e-mail from Keri's producer - Hakim Baratat. He asks you to meet him on the Nexus. Go to the Nexus and find Hakim in Nexus: Docking Bay (he should be standing in the same place where you met with the journalist). During the conversation you learn that Keri is in prison.
Use the tram and go to Nexus: Operations Center. Keri is in one of the cells. Speak with her about the details of her imprisonment (you can also select the flirting option to cheer her up). After that this quest is suspended and you can continue it when Keri's situation will change.
Shortly after completing The Journey to Meridian you should receive an e-mail from Keri with information that she was released. You can go back on Nexus and meet with her in Nexus: Docking Bay - you can find her on a balcony on the upper level of the common area. During the meeting you can decide whether the material should describe only facts or to comfort the colonists. If you were flirting with Keri up to this point then after giving the interview you can meet with her privately on the lower level and go to Vortex club. This is a good occasion to know her better and ask her additional, more intimate questions.
You can give Keri the last interview after completing the main storyline, which is after the Meridian: The Way Home Priority Op.
Alternate solution: There is a chance that Keri's material will upset the colonists. It happens when you try to create a positive image for the Initiative at all costs, avoiding the topic of its dangers at the same time. In this case, Keri may be forced to hide from the angry crowd in her apartment in Nexus: Docking Bay. If so, go there and convince her to come out.
Rewards for completing the quest: XP, Andromeda Viability Points.
Programming a Pathfinder
How to unlock: Talk with Cultural Center Liaison found in [Nexus: Docking Bay].
This assignment can be unlocked once you've completed A Better Beginning, i.e. after the initial stage of colonizing Eos. Your progress allowed you to unlock Nexus Cultural Center, a previously unavailable northern area of Nexus: Docking Bay. Talk with the Cultural Center Liaison - you'll learn of an ability to personalize the Pathfinder VI. Find the Pathfinding VI station and initiate a conversation to begin customizing the program. The process is very simple - choose the desired settings from the ones displayed on the list. The quest will end once you've completed the personalization.
Reward: XP.
Broken Wires
How to unlock: Talk with Shapiro [Nexus: Docking Bay].
This quest can be unlocked once you've managed to complete A Better Beginning, i.e. after the initial stage of colonizing Eos. Thanks to your progress, the upper deck of Nexus: Docking Bay has been unlocked. Visit the area and talk to Shapiro, one of the technicians. The technician will ask Ryder to help him determine the reasons for the unexpected power outages in Nexus.
Your job will be to scan marked areas in Nexus: Docking Bay and Nexus: Operations Center. Once you reach the designated area, equip your scanner, locate the damaged equipment and scan it. One of these actions will help you determine that there is an animal on the loose that is responsible for the outages. Find the creature, scan it, and finally, approach it on your own. You can now either kill or catch the animal (known as Miniature Pallad) - if the latter is true, the organism will come under the care of Professor Herik. Regardless of your choice, the quest will be successful.
Rewards: XP.
Better Crafting
How to unlock: Talk with Anan T'Mari, a bartender in the Vortex Bar [Nexus: Docking Area].
The assignment (as well as the whole location) becomes available once you've managed to complete A Better Beginning (the initial stage of colonizing Eos). To begin the said quest, visit the Vortex Bar, a new area found in the southern part of Nexus: Docking Bay. Approach the counter and talk to Anan T'Mari. The Asari will ask Ryder to help the bartender, Dutch, in the quest to find new drink ingredients.
Begin by going after the Milky Way Hops, an ingredient that can be found in Nexus: Habitation Quarters. To find it, approach the marked area and scan the object lying on the floor.
Another ingredient can be found on Havarl and it is weirdly looking hop-plant from Havarl. You can find it in the south part of the map, near the monolith with the imprisoned researchers from the quest Helping Havarl's Scientists. Watch out for the enemies in the area (local fauna, the Remnant).
The next ingredient can be found during your stay on planet Kadara. The hops can be found close to the place where you can establish the outpost (which is done during Settling Kadara quest), south from it. The plant is next to one of the forward stations.
Rewards for finishing the quest: XP.
Boosting the Signal
How to unlock: Talk with Davis Qar [Nexus: Operations Center].
The quest becomes available once you've managed to complete A Better Beginning (establishing the outpost on Eos). To begin the assignment, visit Davis Qar in Nexus: Operations Center. The man is a manager of an information agency that has plans to increase its range to external outposts located in each new colony. Davis will ask our hero to install signal receivers near agency's outposts that will enable them to connect with the headquarters.
The receiver from Eos is in the part of the map where the radiation is so strong that even Nomad won't protect you from it. You must wait until the radiation disappears (continue the main storyline and then return on Eos). The mission marker is in a seemingly inaccessible place - you must get to the stone ledge presented on the picture above and the best way to do that is to use jumps while you are driving Nomad.
The transmitter on planet Voeld can only be activated after completing Settling Voeld side quest (planet viability must be at least 40%, you must also visit the place where you can establish an outpost). The transmitter must be placed on the nearby hill. You can get there by using Nomad but you must help yourself by using thrusters. The place is guarded by Ancient Eiroch. It is a powerful enemy. To defeat him you should use your best abilities (those that reduce armor are recommended here). Additionally, keep Eiroch at a distance.
The receiver on planet Kadara can be activated after completing Settling Kadara side quest (besides getting the planet's viability level to 40% you must also complete some other side quests on Kadara). After establishing the outpost you can start this quest. The marker, visible from in the map view, can be accessed by using the mountain road east from the receiver (other sides of the mountain on which the receiver is located are very steep, even Nomad won't drive on them). The target destination is presented in the picture above.
The receiver on Elaaden can be activated after completing Settling Kadara side quest (besides having viability on 40% you must also complete a few other quests on this planet, e.g. finishing a few quests given by Krogans from New Tuchanka). After establishing an outpost you can start this quest. The place for placing the receiver is on the top of a mountain near the new Andromeda Initiative outpost. This place is presented in the picture and you can get there by using the Nomad (you must use All-Terrain mode and thrusters).
After placing the receiver on all four planets go back to Nexus: Operations Center and give Davis your report to complete this quest.
Rewards: XP.
An Exile Raid
How to unlock: Talk with Medic in Nexus: Cryo Bay.
The quest becomes available once you've managed to complete A Better Beginning (establishing the outpost on Eos). Travel to the Cryo Bay. The person you are looking for, Medic, should be in the near vicinity of the tram station. Talk to him to begin an assignment that involves retrieving a delivery of medical supplies stolen by bandit exiles. Go to planet Elaaden to look for the medical supplies. You have to visit three locations and defeat a group of outcasts in each one to recover all the medical supplies.
Rewards for completing the quest: XP, Andromeda Viability Points.
Investigating Embezzlement
How to unlock: Talk with the Dock Manager [Nexus: Docking Area].
This quest can be unlocked after you've managed to land on Kadara (a part of Hunting the Archon). Once you're back at the Nexus, visit the Docking Area and talk to the Dock Manager. The man will ask for your help following the discovery of strange packages containing the stolen supplies which are then delivered to Kadara's outcasts. Your task is to search the Commons area, Hyperion's Habitation Deck and Cryogenic Lab for three suspicious packages. Equip the scanner and use the proximity detector to find each object, the scan it to complete your objective - the location of the stashes will be delivered to the dock manager automatically.
Rewards: XP, Andromeda Viability Points.
Beer Run
How to Unlock: Talk with the Dock Manager [Nexus: Operations Center].
This quest can be unlocked after you managed to land on Kadara (a part of Hunting The Archon, one of the storyline quests). Once you're back at the Nexus, visit the Operations Center and find Wilma, who is standing outside of Superintendent Kesh's office. The woman wishes to bring Kesh a beer from Kadara - your job will be to procure it. Fly to Kadara and proceed to the market. The quest marker will lead you to a datapad shown on the screenshot. Reading it results in learning the location of local bootleggers' hideout.
Unfortunately, we have to leave the spaceport. Use Nomad to reach the location of planned Initiative outpost (Colonization of Kadara). Once you're up there, look around the area to find a shuttle used by a local bootlegger. Buy the item (the quest will be completed at once - you don't have to return to the quest giver).
Rewards: XP.
Traitor or Victim?
How to unlock: Talk with Sellers [Nexus: Operations Center].
This quest can be unlocked after you've managed to land on Kadara (a part of Hunting The Archon, one of storyline quests found in game). Once you're back at the Nexus, proceed to Operations Center and talk to Sellers, one of the persons found in Superintendent Tann's office. Sellers will ask for your assistance following the disappearance of his friend, Sanjiv Clement. Clement was last seen in Kadara's Slums. Proceed to the area and start following the quest marker. Unfortunately, Clement's body can be found in an alley in the north-eastern part of the slums. Search the body to find a datapad containing a short recollection of his last moments.
