Hitman 3: Masteries, Progression
On this page of the Hitman 3 game guide, we describe the process of gaining mastery levels and the progression system of the Player Account.
A brand new account progression system has been implemented in Hitman 3, allowing players to see at a glance which items they have already unlocked and what items remain to be obtained. Once unlocked, the rewards remain available to the Player permanently.
Mission scores and ratings - how are they calculated?
Depending on how you completed a mission, the system implemented in Hitman 3 will take into account all the actions you performed and give you a rating. After completing a mission, you will receive the appropriate point score and rating, such as Apprentice Sniper, Expert Marksman, or the valuable distinction of Silent Assassin.
Earning masteries and unlocking rewards
Masteries and additional rewards (useful gadgets, weapons, outfits) are unlocked by earning experience points on a given map. The best and fastest way to earn XP in Hitman 3 is to finish Mission Stories and complete Challenges related to the mission.
After completing the mission and tallying up the point score, notifications will appear on the screen with information regarding the championship level earned and new items unlocked. The image above shows an extremely useful item (lock pick) that can be unlocked as early as at Mastery Level 2 in Dartmoor. Most of the maps available in Hitman 3 allow Players to gain up to 20 Mastery Levels.
