Hitman 3: Main Ending - explanation Hitman 3 guide, walkthrough
Last update: 11 February 2021
On this page of the guide, you will find an explanation of the main ending of Hitman 3, which can be unlocked during the Untouchable mission on the Carpathian Mountains (Romania) map.
After meeting Arthur Edwards (The Constant), Agent 47 eliminates the last target, stops the train, and leaves. After a short while, you will watch the New Deal cut-scene. The action presented in this short video takes place one year after the events in the Carpathian Mountains.
All of the events that took place in Hitman 3 were part of Diana Burnwood's intricate and well thought out plan. Diana pretended to join Providence and betray Agent 47 to turn him over to Arthur Edwards. The main hero was supposed to have his memories erased, but the real reason for all of that was so he could infiltrate The Constant's inner circle and eliminate Arthur.
This is how Diana Burnwood took control of the Providence and destroyed it from inside. The woman has also burned all incriminating evidence against Agent 47 as well as the files related to their previous work.
Interestingly, the events that took place a year later may suggest that the third installment may not be the last game from the Hitman series. The cut-scene ends with Agent 47 saying that "It's good to be back" – this can mean that he is back to being an assassin and working with Diana Burnwood.
