Dr. Boom, Mad Genius - how to use an extra Hero?
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is an additional Hero for the Warrior class, which during the duel gives a huge advantage over the enemy. After playing him, you get 7 points of armor. Moreover, he also changes your Hero's special power and all played Mechs receive Rush.
- Rush - Thanks to this ability, all your played Mechs will be able to immediately attack a hostile minion. Remember that Rush doesn't allow you to instantly attack the enemy's portrait.
- Special power - Each turn, your Hero will receive one of several possible special abilities - at random. This way, you can draw another Mech, gain 7 armor points, summon 3 small robots with Rush, or deal 1 point of damage to all enemy targets.
Archivist Elysiana - how and when to play this card?
Archivist Elysiana is a neutral Legendary minion added with Rise of Shadows expansion. The card has 7/7 stats and has a very interesting and incredibly useful special ability.
- When to play this card - The best time to play Archivist Elysiana is the moment you run out of cards. Archivist Elysiana can also neutralize bombs that are left at the bottom of your deck.
- Effect - After you play Archivist Elysiana, you can draw one of 3 random cards five times. Your deck will get 10 cards - 2 copies for each selected card. Thanks to this card, you skip the fatigue stage and prolong the match meaning that your enemy can bleed out.
Armagedillo - how and when to play this card?
Armagedillo is one of the unique Legendary Warrior cards. Besides good 4/7 stats, Armagedillo has Taunt ability and an additional effect, which grants +2/+2 to every minion with Taunt in your hand.
- Wait for the moment - The best moment to play Armagedillo is when you have minions with Taunt in your hand. The best possible scenario is to have Tomb Warden in your hand.
Mulligan - the appropriate selection of cards
Each duel begins with a so-called Mulligan phase, that is the selection of cards. During this time, you can decide which cards to leave in your hand and which ones to discard and look for others. Card shuffling always involves some risk, but sometimes it is necessary to use it in order to have a chance to win.
- High priority - Eternium Rover, Town Crier, Frightened Flunky. Your goal is to play minions from the beginning of the match.
- Medium priority - Think about keeping Warpath or Brawl in your hand if you are playing against an aggro Zoo type deck. Other cards that can come in handy early in the game are Shield Block and Shield Slam. If you draw Dr. Boom, keep him in your hand.
Defense
Defense is Warrior's strong point. This deck has many cards allowing you to build a huge pool of armor and set up a reliable line of defense. Moreover, this deck has many powerful minions and spells that allow you to control the course of the match.
- Armor - If you manage to collect a large number of armor points, your opponent may not have the appropriate means to break it.
- Shield Slam - For 1 mana point, you can destroy the selected target. Shield Slam deals 1 point of damage per armor point.
- Brawl - Use Brawl after the enemy has played a few minions. In the worst case, the enemy will only have a single minion left on the table.
- Warpath - A spell with which you can clear the entire board, even at an early stage of the game.
- Plague of Wrath - A spell that instantly destroys all wounded minions on the board (including yours).
- Omega Devastator - If you have 10 mana crystals, this unit can instantly deal up to 10 points of damage to a chosen minion.
Offensive
This deck doesn't have cards that allow you to immediately cause direct damage to the enemy's portrait. A control deck is about leading the duel to the fatigue phase where you can bleed the enemy out.
