Combo | The basics Hearthstone Guide
Last update: 07 September 2016
Combo is an ability in which, a given effect included in the card's description activates if the Combo card is not the first one to be played in a given turn. An example of such card is Eviscerate (2), which normally deals 2 pt. damage but, if it is used, say, as the second card in the turn, it activates its Combo ability and inflicts 4 pt. damage. Additionally, for the time being, it is available only for the Rogue class. This ability can be silenced. It is possible to use several Combo cards in one turn.
Hints:
- Combo can be activated by the Coin (0) card. Thanks to this, you can use the card, with the cost of 2, already in the first turn. An ideal play is the Defias Ringleader (2), who can be summoned, using the Coin, which activates his ability to summon the Defias Bandits (1), which ensures 2 units in the first turn.
- If you own a number of cards with this ability, you can play them all at once, by using the cheapest and the weakest card first, to activate the effect of the stronger cards thereafter. It is also a good idea to use cards with the zero cost to activate cards like e.g. Backstab (2).
Example cards: Cold Blood (1), defies Ringleader (2), SI: 7 Agent (3).
