Battlecry | The basics Hearthstone Guide
Last update: 07 September 2016
Battlecry is an ability that activates right after you play the card onto the table. The effects vary, depending on the description and the situation on the table.
You need to keep in mind several things while using this ability:
- The ability activates after the card is played onto the table and not later in the game. Silencing does not influence the Battlecry ability.
- To use a specific ability of the Battlecry, there must be special conditions on the table, e.g. the enemy cards deployed to deal damage, or own cards to boost statistics. If this is the case, the care can still be played, but it is lost.
- Battlecry does not activate, if the card with this ability has been played by the effect of another card. This ability activates only in the case of having been directly played by the player.
Hints:
- Some of the cards that have the adverse effects of the Battlecry which influence own units, may be played into the empty slot, thanks to which their ability will not be activated.
- A good strategy is to play a card with the Battlecry, and then return them to the hand, using the Youthful Brewmaster (2) or Ancient Brewmaster (2). Thanks to this, it is possible to play this unit again and activate the special ability .
Example cards: Youthful Brewmaster (2), Novice engineer (2), Nightblade (5).
