- Makino Kurumazuka Kofun is one of the tombs of the Izumi Settsu province, as shown in the attached screenshots, and is accessed by stone stairs located between orange statues.
- The entrance to the tomb is blocked by large boulders shown in the screenshot. Unfortunately, if you play as Naoe, there's nothing you can do here.
- Wait until Yasuke is permanently unlocked as part of the progress in the main storyline. Only then return to this place.
- Yasuke can lift large red jugs and you will find several of them in the area.
- Place a jug next to the boulders, then detonate it with any ranged attack (e.g. by shooting at it with Yasuke's rifle). We described this mechanic in more detail on a separate FAQ page How to move red jugs?.
How to get to the main chest in the tomb?
- Keep playing as Yasuke, because inside the tomb there are more minor puzzles related to his abilities. You won't be able to reach the final room as Naoe.
- Inside Makino Kurumazuka Kofun there are more barricades and weakened walls and you have to reach them with red jugs found in the area. The puzzle in the final part of the tomb can be particularly problematic. In the place shown in the screenshot, you have to throw a red jug towards the higher red shelf, and then climb onto it and detonate it.
The second type of puzzles involves large movable obstacles - we described this mechanic, (available only to Yasuke) in more detail on the page How to move large obstacles?. Here are some additional tips:
- Some obstacles can be moved only from a specific side. Otherwise, their starting position may be blocked.
- There can be several large chests in one room. Move them in such an order that they do not block each other.
- You can climb onto movable objects. You will have to do this at least once in order to reach a higher shelf.
- On the way, you may come across smaller loot chests. Your main objective while exploring the Makino Kurumazuka Kofun tomb is a large chest with a legendary bow for Yasuke (its level will adjust to Yasuke's current level).
- After looting the tomb, you can move the previously inaccessible obstacle and easily return to the surface.
