AC Shadows: What do the weapon colors mean?
While there are a whole bunch of weapon types in Assasins Creed Shadows, they differ not only in fighting style, but also in... colors. Read our guide page to find out what they mean.
Last update:
In Assassin's Creed Shadows, weapons can have four different colors. Each of them represents their rarity level. The rarer the weapon, the better its statistics and unique abilities. On this page of the guide, we explain what each color means.
Gray - Common
The most common weapons are acquired very often. These weapons are useful at the beginning of your playthrough, but over time they will only be suitable for sale, as they offer only the most basic statistics.
Green - Uncommon
Weapons of this color are slightly better than the most common ones because they contain one additional passive skill, such as a higher percentage of damage dealt from skills.
Purple - Epic
Epic items have as many as two passive skills. The catch is that one of them will be activated only after you upgrade the forge in your Hideout - we explain how to do this on a separate page of the guide. Thanks to this, you will be able to use the engraving mechanics, which means inserting individual skills into weapons.
Yellow - Legendary
Legendary weapons work the same way as purple ones, meaning they have two skill slots, one of which you will only unlock through engraving. The catch is that the first skill is unique, usually containing a very powerful bonus. We definitely recommend using legendary items whenever possible, as long as they are not significantly below your level. These weapons cannot be sold.
