Our guide describes a simple solution to this problem, explaining how to permanently increase the number of rations carried by the main characters. This allows you to recover your health more often, reducing the number of times you will need to replenish your supplies.
How to check the maximum number of rations?
- You can check the current rations limit in your character's inventory (Naoe or Yasuke). To do this, you need to go to the Tools and Consumables window.
- The initial limit is 3 rations, meaning you can heal up to 3 times.
- The game also displays information about the current number of rations in the lower left corner of the screen (example in the picture). By default, it will be 3 or fewer rations. This information does not stay on the screen all the time, but appears during battles and at other important moments.
How to increase the limit with the help of food vendors?
- The solution to the problem of limited rations is visiting food vendors. They are the rarest type of merchants. Look for their icons primarily in larger villages and towns - they will only appear after you get close enough to them.
- You don't have to buy upgrades from food vendors. Just talking with the merchant is enough - you will receive, e.g. a unique meal marked as a quest item (example in the picture).
- The first upgrade requires visiting just one food vendor, but later this requirement increases (e.g. 2 more vendors). Every time you find a sufficient number of new food vendors, the rations limit will permanently increase by 1.
