Assassins Creed Shadows is a huge game with a vast amount of optional assassinations. Apart from the main plot, i.e. hunting for members of Shinbakufu, you will also encounter many other organizations, whose leaders you can eliminate. On this guide page, we have listed all the optional objectives in the game and where to find them.

The Kabukimono

You will receive the task from Shin'nyo in the Nishinomiya shrine town, in the northwest of the Izumi Settsu region. He will add Kabukimono to your board. The group consists of eight targets.

Chief Cuckoo - you will find him in the Katano Oil Trading district, just west of Katano Castle in the Izumi Settsu region. He's lingering around the explosive barrels - a single throw of a kunai or shuriken at the right moment is enough to kill him.
Big Sueki - you can find him in the Muko Post Town, just north of the Amagasaki Castle in the Izumi Settsu region. He is accompanied by a large group of ronin - quickly kill him and run away from the rest of the enemies. Remember that you have a smoke bomb.
General Ghost - you will find him in Port of Sakai, in the coastal city of Sakai in the Izumi Settsu region. He is accompanied by two ronins - kill the leader again and run away. Remember that you have a smoke bomb.
Ember - you will find it in the Fishing District in Osaka, in the Izumi Settsu region. He walks around a huge heap of explosive barrels - if you lure him closer with a shinobi bell or wait until he approaches them, you can immediately kill the target with an explosion.
Grave Dancer - you will find him in the Sumiyoshi Shrine, between Sakai and Osaka in the Izumi Settsu region. He is accompanied by a single ronin - assassinate him from one of the nearby roofs to make the fight easier.

After getting rid of five ronins, return to the Nishinomiya Shrine and post a message on the board in Nishinomiya. You can decide whether the remaining three Kabukimono will appear on the map separately or in the same place. If they are separated, it's easier to eliminate them quietly, but together you can wipe out everyone in one fell swoop.

Corrupt Blade - you can find him in the Habayama Camp, located southwest of Miki Castle in the Harima region.
Laughing Man - you will find him at the Blackstone Cascades, between Mount Kasagata and Kamakura Valley in the Harima region.
Peacock - you will find him on the road between the Harima and Tamba regions. The target is wandering along the roads, so go along the border to find him.
All together - if you have decided to group the last three members together, they will all appear in the sawmill right next to the Takagi Otsuka fort, southwest of Miki Castle in the Harima region. You can eliminate them all at once - it's easiest to do it as Yasuke.

The Iron Hand Guild

You will receive the task from Imai Sokun in Sakai, in the Izumi Settsu region. The Iron Hand Guild is quite a unique group - all its members except the leader can be spared, which is what your client advises you to do. To save the merchant, you have to get his information without killing him.

Merchant Tamao - you will find him in Kyoto, just west of the Honpo-Ji Temple, in the Yamashiro region. The merchant locked himself in the hut - you have to make him go outside. Start destroying the vases and jars set up in front of the hut - you can do it with dodges. When Tamao leaves the hut, climb onto the roof using the side wall, jump down behind him and enter through the open doors. Pick up the letter lying in the hut to spare Tamao.
Merchant Kanta - you will find him on the northern outskirts of Otsu, a city located in the south of the Omi region. He sits in his house - as Naoe, you can sneak inside and choke him to knock him out, or take the letter lying on the table. Both methods will spare his life.
Merchant Kin-no-suke - you will find him in the Obama port town, in the center of the Wakasa region. First, head to the bandit camp quite far to the southeast of the city - follow the river to come across the camp. Kill the bandits and take the letter from the camp. Return to the city, talk to Kin-no-suke and give him the letter. He will lead you to the nearby warehouse - enter the warehouse and take the letter to spare the merchant.
Merchant Ginroku - you will find him in Miyazu, a city in the northwestern corner of the Tamba region. He is standing in the backyard of his house - enter through the front doors from the street side and take the letter to spare the merchant.
Iron Hand - the guild leader is hiding in Fukuchiyama Castle, slightly north of the center of the Tamba region. He is walking around one of the outer courtyards, accompanied by many guards, but he himself is unarmored and has little health - climb onto the outer wall, throw a kunai at him before anyone notices you, and jump into the moat to escape.

The Betrayers

You will receive the task from Hidemasa in Miidera, a shrine just north of Otsu, a city located in the south of the Omi region. Only Yasuke can accept this task. The enemies are strong samurais, so Yasuke would be the best to kill them.

Sato Katsubei - you will find him in Yamazaki Castle, in the Yamashiro region, right on the border with the Izumi Settsu region. He stands very close to the wall in the outer courtyard, so it's easy to sneak up on him as Yasuke and perform a brutal assassination.
Fujichika Nakayama - you will find him in Takatsuki Castle, in the north of the Izumi Settsu region. Be careful - the target has a disproportionately high level compared to the rest of the enemies in this location.
Endo Tomoyasu - you will find him at the Kongobuji temple, in the town of Koyasan, near the center of the Kii region. When you reach the location, the target will already be dead - Hidemasa killed him. Before hunting for the next targets, you can return to Hidemasa to find out exactly where the next Betrayers are waiting.
Sato Genda - you will find him on the outskirts of Azuchi Castle, in the Omi region. The target is sleeping inside his property, and he is only guarded by one guard standing in front of the doors - you can kill the guard with a brutal assassination, enter through the front doors and eliminate the target.
Itakura Shigezo - you will find him on the outskirts of Himeji Castle, in the bottom left corner of the Harima region. He is isolated and stands on a wooden balustrade next to many houses, so it's easy to sneak up on him across the roofs and perform a brutal assassination.
Usami Yoshiko - you will find her on the outskirts of Katano Castle, in the center of the Izumi Settsu region. Talk to her - you can spare or kill her. Sparing the woman will not anger Hidemasa.
Masatoshi Nakahara - the last traitor is hiding in Kameyama Castle, in the eastern part of the Tamba region. Unlike the other traitors, you will find him in one of the inner courtyards, so prepare to sneak through the castle as Naoe or for a long battle as Yasuke.

The Godai Shinobi

You will receive the task from Shotei at the top of Mount Hiei, in the Omi region, after killing one of the members of Shinbakufu - The Naginata.

The Godai of Void - you will find him in a cave right next to the Daikichiji temple, in the northeast of the Omi region. As soon as you enter the cave, the enemy will set off a smoke bomb and attack, so be ready.
The Godai of Fire - you will find him in a small camp near the burning pagoda, in the north-western part of Mount Hiei in the Omi region. The target is not aware of your presence, so you can perform an assassination on him.
The Godai of Water - you will find her in the Mangetsuji temple, north of Sakamoto town in the Omi region. She sits right by the edge of the lake - walk along the shore, and you will find him. She's sitting on the rocks, watching the lake, so you can easily approach her from behind.
The Godai of Earth - you will find him in the Otaniinari shrine, south of the Hijiyama fort in the Iga region. He stands right under a large, fallen log, making it easy to perform an aerial assassination on him.
The Godai of Wind - you will find her in the Shimagahara valley, inside the Otogi Pass, in the Iga region. She's playing a flute in a small camp and you will probably have to fight with her.

The Corrupt Daikan

You will automatically receive the task from Kuma, after completing The Price of Rice main mission, which is part of The Mourner storyline. You can't miss it.

The Hoarder - you will find him in the Kannoji temple on Chikubushima, an island in the Omi region. This is where the Mourner's thread ends - after eliminating the target, you can therefore deal with the daikan standing just a few steps away.
The Concubine - you will find him in Kyoto, in the outdoor theater southeast of the Honnoji temple, in the Yamashiro region. He is unarmored and unaware of your presence - a single throw of a kunai from a nearby bush should suffice.
The Sword Hunter - you will find him in the Nomura village, south of the city of Nagahama in the Omi region. The target is armored and surrounded by soldiers, so it's best to get rid of him by throwing a kunai or shooting a piercing arrow.
The Soiled Merchant - you will find him in the courtyard of his residence in the Otsu Lower District, a port city in the north of the Omi region. It's easy to eliminate him by climbing the wall and quickly throwing a kunai at the target.
The Hedonist - you will find him in the estate near the Omizo Castle, in the port city in the western part of the Omi region. You can't kill him quietly - the only entrance to his house is the front door, which he is constantly watching, so eliminate him as Yasuke.
The Connoisseur - you will find him in Kanegasaki Castle, right on the edge of the map, in the north of the Wakasa region. He sits under the viewpoint - you can climb up the tower or a nearby wall and throw a kunai at him.

Pirate Alliance

You will automatically receive the task from the biwa player during The Music main mission, which is part of The Fox storyline. You can't miss it.

Kage - you will find him on a ship just next to the city of Obama in the Wakasa region. He is surrounded by several smaller boats filled with enemies, so assassination is rather out of the question - you can approach by boat as Yasuke and engage in open combat. Kage can't swim, so kicking him off the ship would immediately kill him.
Lopo Cruz - you will find him in Nariu's Lair at the top of the Shattered Coast in the Wakasa region. The target is sitting alone on a boat at the very edge of the location - you can sneak around the outskirts as Naoe, get on the boat, and easily eliminate him.
Little Kappa - you will find him in Maizuru's Lair, by the lake on the Shattered Coast in the Wakasa region. The target has as many as eight health bar segments, but he is located in a small camp filled with explosive barrels. As Naoe, climb onto one of the roofs in the camp and throw a shuriken at one of the barrels to distract his attention from the prisoner. Wait until the target approaches another barrel or lure him there with a shinobi bell, then detonate the barrel with a second shuriken to seriously injure him. Then finish him off with an assassination or a kunai throw.
Sen - you will find him in the Yura Fishing Village in the north of the Tamba region. Sen abandoned piracy and now takes care of feeding the villagers and doing honest work - you can kill him or talk to him to spare the man.
