The release of Assasin’s Creed Shadows is fast approaching, and with it, fans have many questions. AC Shadows allows you to play with two protagonists, shinobi Naoe and samurai Yasuke. Some players prefer the traditional approach to games with only one main character, so it's not surprising that there are inquiries about whether they will be able to focus exclusively on their favorite and go through the entire game with them alone. In this guide you will find out if this is possible.
Can you play only Naoe or Yasuke in AC Shadows?
For the first few hours, you will only play as Naoe and Yasuke will be unlocked after this solo segment. Each of the two characters specializes in something different. The young shinobi Naoe is much better than Yasuke at sneaking and climbing structures. Yasuke, on the other hand, as befits a samurai, prefers a direct approach and combat is his main skill. So, is it worth playing only one character, and is it even possible?
Unfortunately, no. In Assasin's Creed Shadows you won't be able to just focus on one character. Several missions are structured in such a way that, willingly or unwillingly, you will have to swap between controlling Yasuke and Naoe. Moreover, when you do that, you wouldn't want to have the other character not upgraded, whether in terms of weaponry or skills... What's more, there are a variety of puzzles, mini-games or objects in the open world that are designed exclusively for a particular protagonist. The game will even tell you on its own that you are not suitable for a particular task, and the other character is a better choice.
