They broach, among others, topics like staying alive, sneaking, winning firefights, exploration, and unlocking secrets and collectibles. This knowledge may prove useful, especially when completing the campaign for the first time.
- Normal difficulty level is the optimum choice for the first playthrough.
- Expllore every location in searcho of loot and treasure.
- Remember to use covers when in combat.
- The allied hero controlled by AI (the so-called sidekick) is invinicible.
- Always aim for the head.
- Snipers are very dangerous,
- Stealth is a good alternative when it comes to some battles.
Normal difficulty level is the optimum choice for the first playthrough.
It will allow you to complete the campaign relatively painlessly and may free you up to find collectibles or unlock trophies that involve combat. Crushing difficulty level may prove to be too much when it comes to certain battles, and even if you completed previous installments on a similar difficulty level. Certain "elite opponents" may prove to be problematic, who on higher difficulty level gain on strength even more.
Expllore every location in searcho of loot and treasure.
Obtaining new weapons and ammunition for them will increase your chances of survival in battles ahead. In case of collectibles, look for shining objects - this is the way the game marks treasure, the most important category of secrets. They are often well-hidden, so look especially in dark corners or higher/lower ledges.
Remember to use covers when in combat.
Nevertheless, don't expect you'll win a firefight while staying at the same cover chosen at the beginning of the battle, as enemies can flank you or throw a few grenades at your position. Grenades are extremely dangerous - if they land near the main hero, cover won't save you from the blast. Always change your position if you see a grenade coming your way.
The allied hero controlled by AI (the so-called sidekick) is invinicible.
This means you don't have to protect him, as he won't be the cause of your failure in the battle. Use this free help to replenish your supplies or launch a surprise attack at the enemy, as the sidekick will keep the enemy fire and attention on him.
Always aim for the head.
Some enemies serve as "bullet sponges", and this is even more problematic on Crushing difficulty level when their armor can soak a lot of damage. Headshots are the best way to weaken a given enemy or even, if you're lucky, kill him with a single shot. Consider activating aim assist if you having problems with firing accurate shots during intense batltes, where quick reaction time is essential.
Snipers are very dangerous,
You can locate them easily thanks to red laser beams from their weapons. Make sure to use covers when you encounter them. To hit them back, you can use various ranged weapons (rifles would be the best) or you can close the distance to them - when it comes to the latter, plan further covers before moving, so you spend less time inbetween the covers.
Stealth is a good alternative when it comes to some battles.
If you haven't been detected when new enemies appeared on scene, you should consider a stealthy approach. This way, you can eliminate enemies without risking your health or spending ammunition and other valuable supplies. If, at some moment, you've been detected, find cover and start firing at the opponents same as you did before. Don't restart the encounter when that happens, as you can finish the battle on new rules.
