This page contains a walkthrough of the Who's the Deputy quest, which is commissioned by Justice. The man will ask you to craft a Deputy Cap, and then invite you to the swearing-in ceremony of the new deputy of the Civil Corps.
Quest time limit: none
Reward: 880 EXP, 20 Reputation, 15 Relationship with Justice
Starting the quest
To start the task, you need to talk to Justic, whom you will find in front of the Civil Corps building. The man will inform you of his plans to select a deputy, but he needs an official hat to formalize the appointment. Justice will then hand you the diagram required to craft the hat.
Create Deputy Cap
The Deputy Cap can be crafted with the Worktable. It requires the following materials:
- Basic Leather x3 - can be crafted with the Worktable with 9 Raw Animal Skins (which can be crafted at the Worktable with Damaged Animal Pelt) and 3 Sea Salts in total (which can be purchased at the Blue Moon To-Go and the By The Stairs store for 8 Gols per item). Basic Leather can also be purchased at the Tailor Made store for 32 Gols.
- Bronze Bars x2 - can be crafted with the Furnace with 6 Copper Ore and 4 Tin Ore in total. Both ingredients can be found in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.
- Pigment x1 - can be bought at the By The Stairs and Tailor Made stores for 36 Gols.
When you collect the required materials, craft the Deputy Cap.
Talk to Justice
Once the hat is ready, bring it to Justice and talk to him. The man will thank you for your work and invite you to the ceremony, which will take place the next day. While waiting for the event, you can take care of anything that needs your attention.
Attend the Ceremony
The ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. at Martle's Squere, that is, in front of the City Hall building (at the same spot where you talked to Justic the previous day). Approaching the indicated area will trigger a cut-scene during which the man appoints his deputy. This marks the end of the quest.
