Quest time limit: none
Reward: 800 EXP, Gols 300, Reputation 10, Relationship: Qi 15
Starting the quest
You unlock this quest by completing the In Trusses we Trust main quest and reading the letter from Civil Corps regarding the opening of the Gecko Station Ruins.
This is the third and final side quest in the telescope questline, but you don't need to complete the Excavating the Sky quest before starting this one.
Look for Telescope Pieces
Head to the Gecko Station Ruins in the western part of the map. We recommend using any of the Yakmel Station stops to save some time.
You can find Telescope pieces on Floor 6 and higher. Use the scanner to find yellow rhombus icon. Remember the items spawn randomly, so if you don't find the Telescope Pieces you can restart the Ruins and try again.
Repair Telescope
After finding all the Telescope Pieces, you must head to the Museum near the Research Center and use the Relic Restoration Machine to recreate the telescope. You need 10 Data Discs to do so, but you must've gotten them when searching for the pieces. If you don't know how to recreate Relics, check the Relics - how to recreate> page.
Install Telescope
It's time to install the telescope. Wait until the sun sets and head to the Research Center's rooftop using the stairs next to the building. The quest marker will display the exact location. Installing the telescope triggers a cutscene. Qi will thank you for completing the quest.
Even though the quest marker is active at any time of day, you can only install the Telescope after the sun sets.
