My Time at Sandrock: Raw materials - how to get them?
In My Time at Sandrock, there are many raw materials from which you can make more complicated materials and even entire machines. On this page of the game guide, we suggest where to get basic raw materials such as Graphite, Rubber, Clay, Lapis Lazuli, Iron Ore, Fluorite, Marble, Bearing and more.

Graphite - where to get it?
You can find Graphite in 2 locations:
- In the desert near Gecko Station. You need to smash Raw Material nodes,
- or you can dig through the sand.
Rubber - where to get it?
You can obtain Rubber by processing Rubber Scrap at the Recycler. Rubber Scraps can be found in the Eufaula Salvage zone and in the desert in the form of Rubber Tire.
Clay - where to get it?
Clay is obtained from 2 sources:
- Smashing Hard Rock nodes in the desert,
- or by digging through the sand at Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.
Rosestone - where to get it?
You can obtain Rosestone in 2 ways:
- Collecting in the western area of the desert, beyond the bridge (only after completing the In Trusses we Truststory mission).
- By converting Quartz or Iron Ore at the Ore Refinery.
Quartz - where to get it?
You can obtain Quartz in following ways:
- Smashing Gravel nodes in the desert,
- or by digging through the sand at Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.
- By converting Iron Ore, Stone, Tin Ore or Copper Ore at the Ore Refinery.
- Buy from the Ceramic Gate store for 16 Gols/piece.
Opal - where to get it?
Opal is acquired in two ways:
- Smashing Opal Rocks nodes in the western part of the desert, near the old submarine.
- Defeating Thorny Jumpers, which are enemies pretending to be cacti. You can find them throughout the desert.
Fluorite - where to get it?
You can get Fluorite in 4 ways:
- By converting Copper Ore or Quartz at the Ore Refinery.
- Smashing wooden boxes while exploring The Breach.
- Buy at The Breach using the Vending Machine for the price of 10 Ruin Tokens.
- Buy from the Civil Corps Shop for 10 Ruin Tokens.
Iron Ore - where to get it?
You can obtain Iron Ore in 3 ways:
- Smashing Pyrite nodes in Gecko Station Ruins.
- Digging through the sand at Gecko Station Ruins.
- Buying at Eufaula Salvage Shop for 16 Gols/piece.
Lapis Lazuli - where to get it?
You can obtain Lapis Lazuli in following ways:
- By converting Quartz or Tin Ore at the Ore Refinery.
- Smashing Raw Lapis Lazuli nodes near Gecko Station Ruins.
Marble - where to get it?
There are 3 different ways of obtaining Marble:
- Smashing Monument nodes in the desert.
- Smashing Hard Rock nodes, which are also found in the desert.
- Buying from Construction Junction Shop for 12 Gols/piece.
Coarse Leather - where to get it?
Coarse Leather can only be obtained by defeating following opponents:
- Boxing Jack (found near Gecko Station Ruins).
- Pensky (found northwest of Gecko Station Ruins).
- Thorny Jumper (found throughout the desert, but you will most often find it near your workshop).
Jute - where to get it?
To get Jute Cantaloupe Seed, you need to plant and harvest it in your workshop area. Depending on the season, the plant needs 7 to 13 days to mature. More about planting crops and harvesting can be found on the Farming page of the guide.
Old Parts (Relic material) - where to get it?
Old Parts are not treated as a basic material, but you'll often use them during various building projects. You can get them:
- In Eufaula Salavage Abandoned Ruins at any layer - they are marked with a yellow diamond symbol. To get them, use the Treasure Detector.
- By opening Basic and Advanced Toolboxes (found in Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins).
- Converting Mechanical Scrap at the Recycler.
- Buying from Eufaula Salavage Shop at a price of 40 Gols/piece.
Bearing (Relic material) - where to get it?
Bearing also belongs to the Relic Material category, but you will need it early in the game. The only option for obtaining Bearing is to convert Mechanical Scrap at the Recycler.. There is a 60% chance of obtaining it from each conversion.
