Wood Chopping
Locations: Fushimi (Chapter 2) and the town of Tosa (Chapter 1)
How to unlock: Tosa - available from Chapter 1, Kyo City - available from Chapter 2 (Substory #52 - The Wood Cutter is related to it).
Location of the mini-game - Tosa: Minigame - Wood Chopping
Location of the mini-game - Kyo: Minigame - Wood Chopping
Assumptions of the mini-game - To successfully hack away at the tree, you need to press the indicated button as the axe lights up. The swings become faster as the mini-game progresses but if you miss, you need to build up speed from the base level again. Each successful swing is rewarded with 100 Mon, and you can collect the money after you decide to quit the mini-game.
Sea Fishing
District: Fushimi
How to unlock: Available from Chapter 2 (as Ryoma has a basic rod in his inventory from the beginning of the game).
Location of the mini-game: Minigame - Sea Fishing
Assumptions: There are 2 Sea Fishing locations in Fushimi - Fishing Banks and East Coast. Sea Fishing leads to obtaining saltwater fish.

River Fishing
District: Fushimi
How to unlock: Available from Chapter 2 (as Ryoma has a basic rod in his inventory from the beginning of the game). The first visit to Mukurogai takes place in the final part of Chapter 2.
Location of the mini-game - Fushimi: Minigame - Fushimi River Fishing
Location of the mini-game - Mukurogai: Minigame - Mukurogai River Fishing
Assumptions: You can engage in River Fishing in 2 locations - one in Fushimi and one in Mukurogai. Both spots allow obtaining freshwater fish .

Udon Shop
District: Fushimi
How to unlock:You can engage in this mini-game beginning from Chapter 2. To unlock access to the mini-game, you need to develop a Bond with the owner of Umai Udon and complete Substory #41 (All in the Hips). Once these steps are completed, you can return to the shop and choose to Pitch in at the Shop.
Location: Minigame - Udon Shop
Assumptions of the mini-game: Your task is to memorize clients' ordersand complete them by pressing the right buttons. At every order, a series of buttons will appear and after they disappear, you need to repeat the pattern in correct order. Once for the duration of the mini-game, you can save yourself by pressing L1/LB - then you can press any buttons and the given order will be completed successfully. After each stage, you receive 10% of the restaurant profits.
Prize Wheel
District: Fushimi
How to unlock:You can engage in this mini-game beginning from Chapter 2. The Prize Wheel icon doesn't appear on the map at first, and to unlock it, you need to approach a certain stall in the district to learn of the mini-game.
Location: Minigame - Prize Wheel
Assumptions of the mini-game: this mini-game involves spinning a wheel of fortune - the color of the received ball translates into different rewards. To be able to spin the wheel, you need to have Prize Ticket, which are found in various circumstances, e.g. collected from the ground during exploration.

Utamaruya (karaoke)
District: Fushimi
How to unlock:You can engage in this mini-game beginning from Chapter 2.
Location: Minigame - Singing Bar Utamaruya (Karaoke)
Info: This is a classic mini-game known from other installments of the Yakuza series. Your task is to press or hold buttons appearing on the screen to maintain rhythm and sing. You can choose from 7 songs and 2 difficulty levels.

Mahjong
District: Mukurogai
How to unlock: You can engage in this minigame since the first visit to Mukurogai which takes place in the final part of Chapter 2.
Location: Minigame - Mahjong Spot
Assumptions: Before starting the mini-game, you can view its rules by choosing the option from the menu. Moreover, you need to exchange money into game points. There are a few tables in the room, each offering a different difficulty level.
Arena
District: Mukurogai
How to unlock: You can engage in this minigame since the first visit to Mukurogai which takes place in the final part of Chapter 2. The arena can be found on the first floor of the central building (Mukurogai Second Floor).
Location: Minigame - Arena
Assumptions of the mini-game: Arena allows you to participate in fights that often have certain imposed restrictions (e.g. Trooper cards are restricted). Won battles yield Arena Points which can be exchanged for different rewards.

Wanted Men
District: Mukurogai
How to unlock: You can engage in this minigame since the first visit to Mukurogai which takes place in the final part of Chapter 2. The entrance to Tachibanagumi HQ is on the first floor of the central building (Mukurogai Second Floor).
Location link: Minigame - Tachibanagumi HQ (Wanted Men)
Assumptions: In this mini-game, you can pick up bounties from the board that involve finding and defeating Wanted Men Each caught criminal or a group of criminals is rewarded with cash. There are a total of 16 bounties to complete.
Chicken Racing
District: Ragukai
How to unlock: You can engage in this minigame from Chapter 3.
Location link: Minigame - Chicken Racing
Assumptions: This is a mini-game in which you bet on racing chickens. To be able to engage in the mini-game, you need to first exchange money into Wooden Tags.
Before each race, you can make from one to several dozen bets based on supplied information in categories such as Condition, Prediction, and Payout. You can delve deeper into the supplied information to determine which chickens have the biggest chance of winning (double circles in Prediction).
The outcomes of the races are pretty random and you may lose even if you've made a safe bet. To avoid losing money, save the game before participating in each race.
Gambling Den (casino)
District: Rakugai
How to unlock: The casino is available starting from Chapter 3.
Location: Minigames - Gambling Den (Casino)
Mini-game info: The casino contains tables with multiple gambling mini-games. To be able to participate, you first need to exchange cash into Wooden Tags. Among the available games, there are 3 variants of poker and 4 exotic games:
- Texas Hold'em;
- Pineapple Hold'em;
- Omaha Hold'em;
- koi-koi;
- oicho-kabu;
- Cee-Lo;
- Cho-Han.

Shogi Parlor
District: Rakunai
How to unlock: You can engage in this minigame from Chapter 3.
Location: Minigame - Shogi Parlor
Assumptions of the mini-game: The participation fee is 500 Mon. Before starting, you can choose to review the rules and choose the difficulty level and game type - Challenge or Ranked.
Nichibuza
District: Rakunai
How to unlock: You can engage in this minigame from Chapter 3. To unlock access to this mini-game, you first need to complete Substory #1 - Nichibuza's Newest Fan. In the course of this substory, you'll have your first brush against the mini-game and once the substory concludes, you can freely return to Nichibusa to engage in the mini-game.
Location: Minigame - Nichibuza (dance studio)
Assumptions of the mini-game - this is a dancing mini-game in which you need to observe one or two fields and press the buttons at the right times to get points. You're informed of incoming presses through waves - there are single presses and combinations. Your task is to press the buttons at the right times to get points and increase the multiplier. You can choose from 3 tracks and each can be played at 4 difficulty levels.
Yamabuki Brothel (courtesan mini-games)
District: Gion
How to unlock: Yamabuki Brothel becomes available starting from your first visit to Gion during the final part of Chapter 3. The entrance fee to the brothel is 1 Ryo.
Location: Minigames - Yamabuki Brothel
Assumptions: In Yamabuki Brothel, you can play 3 different mini-games with courtesan Anna.
- Sake Showdown - your task is to press the buttons appearing on the screen to keep the indicator in the central part of the field.
- Rock, Paper, Scissors - you need to guess what Anna has and you can also peek to learn her hand (limited number of times).
- Sensual Healing - you need to fire at the heart while avoiding collisions with obstacles.
All 3 mini-games play in a fixed order. Completing each of them at least once will unlock choosing a difficulty level.
Another Life
District: Ryoma's Villa (you can travel to it by talking to the boatman in Kyo's Fushimi district).
How to unlock: Becomes available from Chapter 4. A story event will unlock the farm and you'll be able to visit it freely from that moment.
Location: Boat to Ryoma's Villa (Farm)
Info: This is the game's biggest optional activity, and it's all about running and developing your own farm - you can grow crops and cook, fulfill Trade Orders, and treat the farm as your Second Home. Over time, a well-managed farm can become a great source of income.

Battle Dungeon
District: Mibu (Shinsengumi Barracks)
How to unlock: Becomes available from Chapter 5. The mini-game starts with an extended tutorial explaining the rules. After the tutorial, you'll be able to freely choose and begin dungeon missions.
Location: Minigame - Battle Dungeon
Assumptions: This is a larger optional activity in which you explore dungeons to complete different missions. The missions are a great source of XP and random loot e.g. crafting ingredients and new weapons.
Battle Dungeons are also a source of Trooper cards - during various activities of the game, you'll find and collect cards of different rarity which symbolize new units that joined you - the cards offer active abilities, such as e.g. bonus to attack power, a unique area-of-effect attack or free healing.
