Like a Dragon: Ishin is a long and extensive game, which can take over 100 hours to complete in 100 percent. First playthrough
Your first playthrough of Like a Dragon: Ishin should take you around 35-40 hours. This is assuming you don't completely ignore the game's optional content, but you also don't want to spend too much time to complete all the Substories or do all the minigames thoroughly.
Rushing the main story can be a hassle as it consists of numerous and challenging boss fights. Defeating them with a poorly developed character can be difficult, except when playing on the lowest difficulty level. Doing Substories or optional fights can greatly increase Ryoma's combat capabilities.
Completing the game in 100% and getting the platinum trophy
In Like a Dragon: Ishin, you can track your progress with the Completion List - completing these activities is required to reach 100% completion status. Completion List categories are discussed in more detail on a separate page - 100% completion.
It will probably take you over 100 hours to do everything, and you should expect the same amount of time if you want to get the platinum trophy. In Like a Dragon: Ishin, the Legend difficulty level is available right away, but one of the trophies is about completing the game in 100 percent.
The most time-consuming optional activities are Battle Dungeons (level 99 required) and crafting. The game forces you to craft all the available pieces of equipment at the blacksmith, of which there are as many as 206. Each of them requires crafting materials. Obtaining rarer ingredients is not easy and may require doing numerous optional fights.
