On this page of our Like a Dragon: Ishin guide, we explain how to change your current outfit, and this applies to two heroes - Ryoma and Haruka. Our guide shows how to unlock new outfits and where can you change them, as well as how to equip new outfits for Ryoma and Haruka.
Outfit changes in the main story
Ryoma switching his outfit is a story event. As you begin Chapter 5, Ryoma will change his outfit to a blue Shinsengumi Haori and will keep it equipped up to the very end of the story.
Changing Ryoma's outfit
If you want to change clothes, you need to visit Ryoma's room in Teradaya Inn (Fushimi).
Interact with the hanging kimono and choose Change Clothes option.
There are no clothing stores in Kyo. The only way of obtaining new outfits is through DLCs. We describe the topic of DLCs in more detail in Bakumatsu Bob - DLC page of the guide.
New kimonos for Haruka
Haruka, who you meet on the farm in Chapter 4, also has different outfits to choose from, but some of them have to be unlocked.
For example, meeting with Landlord in Fushimiunlocks a free Lively Yellow kimono. The action you need to perform while talking to the Landlord is delivering him the first installment of the debt (20 Ryo).

Another way of getting new kimonos for Haruka is buying Shinto Priest's Exchange upgrade for Virtue points. The upgrade will unlock the ability to buy items from Shinto Priest in Rakunai - you can find him near the large shrine in the north-western part of the district.
All that he offers is bought with Virtue points. Among the wares, there are new kimono designs for Haruka:
- Noble Forest for 1500 Virtue;
- Tranquil Water for 3500 Virtue;
- Sakura in Bloom for 6000 Virtue;
- Lustrous Violet Star for 10,000 Virtue.

Once you have some new kimono designs, return to the farm. Haruka will automatically put on a new kimono.
Old designs are not lost - you can equip any kimono you want. To do so, enter the farm building and interact with the Dresser (on the left side of Trade Orders). From the list of actions, you can choose Change Haruka's Kimono, and then decide on the design.
