On this page of our Like a Dragon: Ishin guide, we answer the question of whether you can change the time of day. One of the ways of fast-forwarding time is by resting. On this page, you'll find out how changing the time of day can affect the gameplay and whether there are moments when such a change is inavailable.
Resting
In Like a Dragon: Ishin, you can change the time of day. The opportunity to use this option appears right in Chapter 2, as one of your objectives will be to visit the Bathhouse in the evening.
Changing the time of day is made in rooms owned by Ryoma . The first such room is located in the Teradaya Inn in the Fushimi district of Kyo City. To rest, you need to interact with the bed and confirm the option.
The option to change the time of day will not always be available. The game may force staying with the current time of day because of the current objective. Then you need to proceed with the missions until it is back available.
Differences between various times of day
Choosing a different time of day may be necessary for an objective in the main story. For example, Ryoma must meet the quest character at a specific time.
Changing the time of day can also unlock new optional activities . This is primarily about new Substories - some of them you can start and complete, e.g. only in the evening. After you change the time of day, try to once again explore the already visited locations. There is a chance that you will activate new scenes and unlock new side quests.
