After completing the prologue of Kingdom Come 2, namely the Laboratores quest, the entire first region of the game will open up for you. Your next goal will be to find a way to get to the wedding. You have two ways to do this - complete a few tasks for the blacksmith Radovan or the miller Kreyzl. Completing their threads will allow you to go to the wedding with them. During their tasks, you will also earn useful rewards and learn various skills. On this guide page, we answer who it is more profitable to help and whether it is possible to complete both storylines.

What are the the miller's and the blacksmith's quests?

You will learn about the miller and the blacksmith from Bara, the red-dressed beggar, who will call out to you right after leaving the stocks at the end of the Laboratores quest. The miller is located in the very south of the map, near the village of Semine, while the blacksmith resides in the north of the map, in Tachov. Both craftsmen have a few tasks for you that develop different skills and for which you will also receive various rewards.

  1. During the miller's tasks, you will learn thief's skills - sneaking, stealth elimination, pickpocketing, and using lockpicks. By completing tasks you will receive some money, and also have the opportunity to acquire an outfit dedicated for stealth, and some poison. The miller's quests do not involve fighting and focus mainly on break-ins. The last task will require several thefts, persuasion, or spending a very large amount of money.
  2. During the blacksmith's tasks, you will learn blacksmithing. By completing these quests, you will receive some money, but also a lot of different weapons and armor elements. One of the tasks will also lead you to your lost horse. There are several fights in the blacksmith's quests, but during each of them you will have strong allies.

Completing their first few tasks will also give you ownership of a comfortable bed in their residences, where you can save the game and store items in a private chest.

Who is it more beneficial to help?

The rewards obtained during the blacksmith's quests are useful much more often. During them, you will face well-armored and armed opponents, whom you should be able to defeat thanks to the allies accompanying you. Searching these enemies after defeating them will give you several sets of good armor - you will receive, for example, chainmail, helmets, iron leg armor and even a cuirass. Equipping yourself with these armor parts will greatly facilitate exploration and combat, and any excess can be sold to the blacksmith for a very substantial sum. A horse will also be extremely useful, allowing you to travel faster and store heavy items on it.

The miller's rewards are more situational - the thief's outfit and poison are only useful when you plan to act quietly, which isn't often. Unlike using a good armor. The miller's storyline is also more time-consuming, comparatively less profitable, and in the end requires several thefts or an expenditure of about 800 groschen.

One of the miller's tasks seems to contain an annoying bug in the premiere version. When stealing documents from the town hall in Troskowitz, there is a high probability that during your next visit to the village you will be recognized and arrested by the guards, even if no one noticed you during the break-in. It will force you to pay a high fine (about 300 groschen) or stay in the stocks, as well as lose all stolen items - your persuasion skills are not high enough at the moment to talk your way out of jail.

Can you help both the blacksmith and the miller?

The game does not limit you in any way - you can perform tasks for both the blacksmith and the miller. You will recognize the end of the storyline after the new dialogue option - a request to go to the wedding. The task itself will proceed very similarly, regardless of who you go with. We therefore recommend:

  1. We therefore recommend going to Tachov as soon as possible, which is quite close to Troskowitz, and complete the blacksmith's initial quest. During it, you will forge a decent sword for yourself.
  2. The next task will guide you to Semine. Go there, then head to the mill nearby, where you can start the miller's storyline. The beginning of his storyline will teach you basic thieving skills.
  3. You can now continue the blacksmith's story, and after completing it, finish the miller's quests.
