The Italian Job is one of the final quests of Kingdom Come 2. Your goal will be to attack the Italian Court and steal King Sigismund's silver. On this guide page, we described how to make it through the church council without raising suspicion, secure the courtyard, save the nobles, and fight off Erik's men.

How to make it through the church council without raising suspicion?
You will begin the quest playing as Godwin, disguised as the cardinal. You must not raise suspicion and behave as befits an Italian cardinal. Follow Henry, and along the way, deal with the merchant calling you. You can buy spiritus and potions from him, especially the sobriety potion will prove useful later on. You can also buy souvenirs. The only souvenir worth noting is the St. Barbara Figurine; the rest of the souvenirs are fakes (Godwin has high enough stats to successfully pass all skill checks). Next, talk to Jerome Naaz and when he recognizes Henry, dodge his questions. Follow Jerome to the council.
During the council, you have two main objectives: to resolve the dispute between the two parties without suspicion and to facilitate Henry's part of the plan. Godwin must also constantly be in a state of slight intoxication - if he is sober or completely drunk, he will forget how to speak Latin and will give himself away. Pay attention to the intoxication marker on your health bar, and if necessary, drink alcohol or consume a sobering potion. At the beginning of the conversation, say that the Pope has not yet decided who to support.
You have three ways to facilitate Henry's further infiltration. Each of these three actions will result in fewer guards in the later part of the quest. To achieve that, do the following things:
- Talk to Janosh. He'll suggest you to ask for more wine. Talk to Jerome and ask him to bring more wine, and he will order the guards to start carrying barrels.
- Talk to Janosh again. Now he'll propose calling for the cook. Approach the table by the wall and eat a piece of meat called the chef's special. After he has eaten, talk to Jerome and ask him to call the cook. The cook will come in a few minutes; praise his cooking and ask for the recipe for the special. The cook will stay in the room to write down the recipe for you.
- Talk to Andrew Polner and ask him why there there are guards in the room. He'll suggest asking for more guards. Talk to Jerome and ask him to call the guards, and he will agree to your proposal.
If you want to resolve the conflict between both sides peacefully, here's what you need to do:
- Ask both sides of the conflict (the churchmen dressed in white and brown) about their demands and ask them to specify how the dispute arose. When you get a chance to express your opinion about their actions, remain silent.
- Talk to Musa of Mali and ask him for his opinion: he will suggest reconciling both sides. Don't tell him that you know he was accused of murder. If you give yourself away, you can still save yourselves by mentioning Henry.
- Talk to Janosh to start the closing speech. Order both sides to reconcile and explain that both sides must make certain concessions. Finally, calm the church people down.
After the council meeting, you will resume playing as Henry.
How to secure the courtyard?
Your task is to get rid of all the guards from the courtyard. If you have facilitated Henry's infiltration as much as possible when playing as Godwin, you will only have to get rid of three guards. Two of them are standing on the walls, and the third one is walking around the main courtyard. You can also change your equipment now and put on armor or a thief's outfit. If necessary, remember to throw stones to force the enemies to turn around.
After getting rid of the guards, talk to Hans. Unfortunately, Brabant didn't keep his side of the bargain, so together with Hans, you will have to get rid of the remaining two guards. Next, you have to find Adder, who was supposed to get the tools to destroy the wall. You will find him in the kitchen, next to one of the staircases outside. First, however, equip yourselves with your best armor.
Adder wasted no time in the kitchen and you will have to stop the cook's husband from killing him. If you want to avoid bloodshed, you must first calm the man down. Next, you have to stop one of them from attacking the other (Might - Medium; Domination - Hard). Then use one of the phrases that Brabant taught you: say O mangi la minestra o salti dalla finestra. This way, you can peacefully resolve the situation. Once that's taken care of, follow Adder to the basement, where you will find a weakened wall. Watch the cutscene - the rest of the company will dig through to you.
How to save the nobles?
Your next task is to save the nobles - follow Janosh and Adder up the stairs. On your way, you will meet a guard named Csaba - talk to him. You can also resolve this situation peacefully through persuasion (Speech, Might, Charisma - Very Difficult). If you're not confident in your persuasion skills, ask Csaba what he would like in return. You will have to calm Adder down (Speech - Medium), but if you succeed, Janosh will reach an agreement with Csaba. In the end, tell him that when he speaks with Sigismund, he should just claim that he lost the fight or fell ill. Csaba will then allow you to free the lords without a fight.
Before you talk to Zizka, which will trigger the next part of the quest, go to two places:
- Library, above the room where the nobles were kept. You will find many valuable books here, including books that enhance your skills, and even glasses that boost charisma a lot.
- Armory, above the kitchen. You will find a lot of decent weaponry here, both on racks and in chests, as well as repair kits. This is your last chance to get better equipment before the game's finale - take everything that's better than your current gear or that might be useful to you.
Once you are ready, talk to Zizka on the walls.
How to fight off Erik's people?
After the conversation, you will have to fight off Erik's army. Grab a halberd leaning against the wall (unless you already have one equipped) and start knocking down the ladders that enemies will lean against the walls. You have to get rid of a total of three ladders - pay close attention to where the enemies are placing them. When you knock over the ladders, start shooting at the enemies until they break through to the courtyard. Run downstairs and join the battle. Defeating all enemies will trigger a cutscene.
You will have managed to escape through the tunnel to the Ruthard Palace. Find Hans Capon in the underground and talk to him - you can choose a dialogue option here that will lead to a romance in the future. Once you're ready, head to the ladder and go to the palace. Watch the cutscene: you'll face one more battle here.
While your company is fighting the enemies, Zizka will order you to attack the archers from behind. Exit the room through the small door to the kitchen, go upstairs and run through the armory. You will get out right next to the archers, on the railing. Get rid of the enemies. With your support, the company will manage to defeat all opponents. This will complete the quest.
