Multiplayer and coop in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD 2) explained

Kingdom Come Deliverance is an RPG game about young man called Henry. The protagonist's village was destroyed, and he decided to take revenge on bandits. However, he quickly becomes involved in a more complicated intrigue. Let's remember that the first installment is a single player experience.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is a direct continuation of this story. So, you will return to 15th century Czech, and you will still follow Henry’s adventures. Theoretically Warhorse Studios can create a supporting character to accompany well known protagonist or special multiplayer game mode. However, in the game’s profile on Steam, there is a tag informing that the game is intended for single player only.

This isn’t a surprise. Action RPGs are often designed for solo gameplay. So, a large number of them do not have a dedicated multiplayer. Much easier is to find a cPRG with coop mode. The great example is Larian Studios with Baldur's Gate 3 or Divinity: Original Sin II.
