This page of the guide to Ghostwire Tokyo contains a walkthrough for the twelfth main mission, The Black Tower, which is a part of Chapter 4 - Contortion. The following walkthrough explains, i.a. how to use binoculars on the roof of the Mitake Real Estate Building, how to find gasoline, a turbine wheel and fragrant underworld oil, how to repair a motorcycle, and what happens at the point of no return.

Get to the roof of the Mitake Real Estate Building
The real estate agency is to the south-east of the building where you found the motorcycle in the previous mission.
The roof is easy to reach. When you're at the base of the building, look for the elevator shown in the picture above. It won't take you to the top right away, but once the ride is over, you will find another elevator nearby. Use this one too.
Locate some fragrant underworld oil
You will find binoculars on the roof of the skyscraper, which you can interact with to search for interactive areas that can be explored.
The purple Torii gate shown in the picture is connected with finding the underworld oil. If you press the button to look closely at the gate, you will later receive your mission objective about reaching it.
Locate some gasoline and a turbine wheel
In this case, you need to investigate the parked vehicle at the left edge of the search area - we have marked it in the picture. You will receive a mission objective to search this vehicle.
Additional info - You can complete the newly unlocked mission objectives in any order. The sequence doesn't have to follow the one in our walkthrough.
Find some gasoline and a turbine wheel
Reach the car that you saw through the binoculars. By interacting with it, you'll get gasoline, but you'll still have to find the turbine wheel.
Unfortunately, you are also in for trouble - Akito will be transported to an alternative world. Moreover, you will be cut off from KK, and you will have to try to reconnect with your spiritual companion.
Follow the linear path to the place where you will find spectral food and arrows. Replenish your arrows and remember this location, because you will soon have to acquire new ammo regularly.
In the distance you will notice a defenseless KK, you have to protect against the incoming Visitors. Due to the lack of power, you have to do it with a bow.
If possible, try to hit the Visitors before they reach KK and start draining energy from your companion. The energy bar cannot drop to 0%, because otherwise, you'll fail the mission objective.
Remember to aim a little higher, because all enemies will be quite far away. There are also Red Ether Crystals in the area - you can hit them when the enemies approach them. They will explode and seriously injure or kill nearby enemies.
At the end of the battle, a stronger opponent with a hammer will appear. Try to hit him before he gets close to KK, because you will have to send a few "charged" arrows at him for him to die and stop draining KK's energy.
When the battle is over, approach KK to reconnect upon holding the button and regain your access to supernatural powers. You will also return to the real world.
Find a turbine wheel
Start looking for the turbine wheel by reaching the marked telephone booth. From the conversation with Rinko, you will learn about a car show - one of the showcased vehicles can be used as a "donor" for the part you are looking for.
Reach the marked exit to the subway tunnels. Once underground, go to the maked area. This area is patrolled by a single strong Visitor, but you can easily weaken him with a surprise attack, thanks to which the actual fight will be much shorter,
Approach the sports car and interact with it to obtain the turbine wheel.
Find some fragrant underworld oil
To get this ingredient, you have to go towards the Torii gate, which you discovered earlier through the binoculars. The Torii gate is on the roof, and reaching it will be a bit problematic, because you can't use Tengu's help (you would end up on the lower roof).
Examine the highway that runs behind the building with the Torii gate (to the south of it). Here you can use the stairs (picture above) and the upper passages. Be ready to deal with (or run away from) some flying Visitors along the way.
The route will lead you to the corrupted tree shown in the picture. Scan it to discover its weak point. Getting rid of the corruption will allow you to jump to a fragment of the highway.
Take the highway towards the building with the Torii gate. You can now climb from the place shown in the picture - climb onto the yellow bus and then glide towards the first ladder. You can easily locate the next ladders with Spectral Vision.
Once you reach the Torii gate, you won't be able to clean it in the traditional way. Instead, you have to confirm that you want to move to the alternate dimension to keep searching for the fragrant oil there.
Go towards an island in the underworld. Here, you have to deal with two types of threats:
- Visitors - You can also eliminate them with surprise attacks (there will be some arrows for your bow nearby - use them). Remember about Red Ether in direct combat.
- Clusters of Corruption - You can scan them and hit their weak spots in order to open a safe path onward.
The destination is the shrine on the hill. If you try to pick up the oil, you will be moved to a new place. Follow the next corridors, and you will reach a room where a large Visitor named Shiromuku will appear. It's not a fully-fledged boss, but still counts as one of the elite enemies.
If you've already fought Hyakki Yako or completed side quests, you may have met Shiromuku before. In the main storyline, this Visitor appears for the first time. Shiromuku primarily uses ice attacks. It can attack you from a distance or immobilize you (stay away from his AoE moves). Move constantly, keep a safe distance and remember to block. Strong elemental fire and water attacks should quickly expose Shiromuku's core, letting you rip it out.
After winning the fight, you will be able to take the fragrant underworld oil from the bench.
You must travel back to the portal; expect to encounter new clusters of corruption and, above all, new Visitors. More elite enemies will appear in the area and, as a result, you should run to the portal to leave this place as soon as possible. You will unlock a new shrine on the world map along the way.
Go back to the garage - point of no return
After collecting all 3 ingredients (gasoline, turbine wheel, fragrant underworld oil) you have to go back to the building where you found the motorcycle in the previous main quest. Once inside, go through the underground car park and go to the garage with the motorcycle. Examine it to trigger a cut-scene.
The game will warn you about the so-called Point of No Return. When you use the repaired motorcycle, you will move on to the final two chapters of the campaign. According to the received expansion, this may prevent you from completing the 3 After the End side quests. We recommend that you go to the chapter with walkthroughs for side quests to learn how to unlock these missions and complete them.
You now don't have to do any other things anymore (other side quests, collectibles, optional activities), because they will still be available after the campaign finale.
