The main pros of the game
- Visuals and Atmosphere: The graphics and artistic design of Tokyo are frequently praised, with many users noting the immersive beauty of the environment and attention to detail.
- Cultural Elements: The game is steeped in Japanese culture and folklore, which resonates well with fans of the culture. The inclusion of traditional elements and urban legends enhances the overall experience.
- Engaging Story: While some found the main story average, many appreciated the depth of the narrative and the emotional impact, especially in relation to Japanese lore.

- Technical Performance: Most players reported a smooth gaming experience with no bugs, and the game runs well on various PC setups.
The main cons of the game
- Repetitive Gameplay: Several reviews mention that the combat and quest structures become repetitive over time, leading to a sense of monotony during extended play sessions.
- Lack of Depth in Combat: While combat is enjoyable, many players felt it could benefit from more variety in enemy types and combat moves, making it less engaging as the game progresses.
- Short Main Story: Some users noted that the main storyline is relatively short and could leave players wanting more, especially if they do not engage in side content.
- Optimization Issues: A few players experienced performance issues, especially related to VRAM usage, suggesting that the game could have benefited from further optimization.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- More Combat Variety: Players expressed a desire for a more diverse combat system, including different elemental interactions and a broader range of enemy types.
- Deeper Storytelling: While the narrative is appreciated, some users felt that certain plot points were underexplored or lacked clarity, leading to unanswered questions about the game's world and lore.
- Expanded Content: Many reviews suggested that the game could benefit from additional content, such as more side quests or gameplay mechanics to enhance replayability.
- Improved Stealth Mechanics: Some players found the stealth elements lacking and expressed a wish for a more robust system that would allow for varied gameplay strategies.
In conclusion, *Ghostwire: Tokyo* is celebrated for its stunning visuals and cultural depth but criticized for repetitive gameplay and a lack of combat variety. Players recommend it, particularly during sales, for those who appreciate Japanese culture and atmospheric exploration.

Ghostwire: Tokyo Description
Ghostwire: Tokyo is an action adventure game that takes players to modern-day Tokyo and lets them face the hordes of yokai, or ghosts, from Japanese folklore. It was developed by Tango Gameworks studio and supervised by Shinji Mikami - the "father" of Resident Evil series.
Plot
The action of Ghostwire: Tokyo takes place in the alternative version of Japan's capital city. As a result of a mysterious occult event, the majority (99% to be precise) of the city's population has disappeared. As if that wasn't enough, ghosts (called Visitors) started wandering the streets in search of victims and members of a mysterious group, who hide their identity behind traditional Hannya masks. The player, on the other hand, plays the role of the hero, who was one of the few to survive the catastrophe and has been endowed with supernatural abilities. From now on his task is not only to face the hordes of yokai, but also to solve the mystery behind these events.
Game mechanics
In Ghostwire: Tokyo the action is shown from the first person perspective (FPP). Wandering around the Japanese capital, we mainly fight with enemies. Each opponent has a unique set of moves and attacks, as well as an individual weak point; working out the former and discovering the latter is the key to victory. Among the adversaries we can find such ghosts as Amewarashi (an entity taking the form of a small child in a yellow raincoat, able to summon other ghosts for help), Shiromuku (looking like a bride in a traditional white kimono) or Kuchisake (inspired by urban legends, a strong and agile opponent equipped with long scissors). We fight them, making use of the protagonist's supernatural combat abilities, the range of which we expand as we progress.
Technical aspects
Ghostwire: Tokyo features high-quality graphics; the same goes for the sound layer. In addition, the PlayStation 5 version takes advantage of the capabilities offered by the haptic vibrations of the DualSense controller.
