Set a Benchmark

How to unlock: Complete the game on Medium difficulty or above.

Trophy type: silver

Comment: In our opinion, the normal difficulty level is the optimal choice for your first playthrough and getting most of the trophies. Do not lower the difficulty level in the options or you may lose the chance of unlocking this achievement.

Untouchable

How to unlock: Complete the game in Impossible Mode.

Trophy type: gold

Comment: Impossible is the highest difficulty level, in which Isaac's death means the end of the game. You can "cheat" by pausing the game when Isaac is on the verge of death. This will allow you to load your last save and try again. An additional complication is that the Impossible level cannot be selected for New Game Plus - it must be a completely new campaign.

Try to learn the game very well first, in particular:

  1. locations traps and environmental hazards - the protagonist can be set on fire or crushed in some locations, so you have to be very careful there;
  2. how to eliminate elite Necromorphs - it is worth noting that unless the game forces you to confront an enemy (e.g. by activating a quarantine on a room), it is better to run away from monsters and save supplies.

Trusted Contractor

How to unlock: Complete New Game Plus on any difficulty mode.

Trophy type: silver

Comment: New Game Plus has been described in detail on a separate page of the guide. You should also try to meet the requirements for unlocking the alternate ending (finding 12 Marker Fragments) to get the Reunion trophy as well.

Full Arsenal

How to unlock: Own every weapon in the game.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: There are 7 weapons to obtain in the game. The last one is the Force Gun and you can find it in chapter 6. We have included locations of the weapons in our walkthrough.

Built to Order

How to unlock: Install every weapon upgrade - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Install every weapon upgrade.

Trophy type: silver

Comment: Weapon upgrades are a category of secrets - we have included them in the Secrets and collectibles chapter. There are a total of 21 upgrades to unlock (3 for each weapon). Most of the upgrades can be found in the game world, but you can also buy a few in the shop.

To install an upgrade, you must return to any bench. You will then learn about unlocking the option to buy an upgrade on the weapon development tree (example in the picture). You can browse the weapon trees to check what upgrades you still need.

Autofire

How to unlock: Kill 30 enemies with the Pulse Rifle.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is one of the achievements requiring the use of various weapons. After you get the rifle, keep it in your inventory to find ammo and be able to use the weapon more often.

Live with the Hot Ones

How to unlock: Kill 30 enemies with the Flamethrower.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is one of the achievements requiring the use of various weapons. After you get the flamethrower, keep it in your inventory to find ammo and be able to use the weapon more often. The flamethrower is perfect for killing small monsters.

A Cut Above

How to unlock: Kill 30 enemies with the Ripper.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is one of the achievements requiring the use of various weapons. After you get the Ripper, keep it in your inventory to find ammo and be able to use the weapon more often.

Pusher

How to unlock: Kill 30 enemies with the Force Gun.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is one of the achievements requiring the use of various weapons. After you get the shotgun, keep it in your inventory to find ammo and be able to use the weapon more often.

Eviscerator

How to unlock: Kill 30 enemies with the Line Gun.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is one of the achievements requiring the use of various weapons. After you get the gun, keep it in your inventory to find ammo and be able to use the weapon more often.

Full Contact

How to unlock: Kill 30 enemies with the Contact Beam.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is one of the achievements requiring the use of various weapons. Once you get the laser, keep it in your inventory to find ammo and use your weapon more often.

One Gun

How to unlock: Beat the game using only the Plasma Cutter.

Trophy type: silver

Comment: You can try to get the trophy during the first playthrough - move the found weapons to the storage and do not use them. You can also get the trophy during NG+ to use the improved Plasma Cutter. You can get achievements by playing on the lowest difficulty level - monsters die very quickly after shots from the Plasma Cutter.

Melee, stasis and kinesis attacks are allowed. You can't just use other types of firearms.

Pack Rat

How to unlock: Place 25 items in Storage - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Place 25 items in Storage.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: The storage is available in the shop menu - you can place items or take them out. It's best to avoid selling unnecessary items, e.g. med kits or ammunition. Move them all to the storage to fill 25 slots.

The requirements for this trophy do not include the bonus Isaac suits that you may have received with your copy of the game. They must be items found in the game world or purchased in shops.

Story Teller

How to unlock: Collect 75 Logs.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Go to the description of the Legend Teller trophy.

Legend Teller

How to unlock: Collect 150 Logs.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This and the previous trophy are related to unlocking text, audio and video logs - they are classified as secrets and placed in the Database. This achievement has 2 important facilitations:

  1. You don't have to unlock 100% of the available logs. There are almost 190 of them in the game - you "only" have to get 150 of them.
  2. Many logs are unlocked automatically, e.g. when you start a conversation with another character. You don't have to get 150 collectibles. There are actually far fewer of them to find.

We have included the locations of the logs in the Secrets and collectibles chapter.

Merchant

How to unlock: Collect all Schematics.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Schematics are one of the secrets in the game. Each schematic you find allows you to buy something new in the shop. There are 13 schematics in the game, but you don't have to find the one hidden in chapter 9 on board the USM Valor (you can't return to Valor later in the campaign).

Marksman

How to unlock: Dismember 50 Limbs.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You should get the trophy during the normal playthrough of the game. Always aim at the limbs of the Necromorphs (and not, for example, at the head or chest).

Surgeon

How to unlock: Dismember 500 Limbs.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is a more time-consuming variation of the previous achievement, but you should still get the trophy long before the end of the game.

Wishbone

How to unlock: Rip off a dangling limb using Kinesis - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Rip off a dangling limb using Kinesis.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: To get this trophy, try to weaken the Necromorph's limb with attacks, but don't cut it off yet. Then aim at that limb and use kinesis (Circle/B while aiming). You will unlock the achievement if Isaac manages to tear it off with kinesis.

Raise the Stakes

How to unlock: Pin an enemy - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Pin an enemy.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You can try to get this trophy from chapter 2 onward - you will unlock kinesis at the beginning of this stage.

In locations with monsters, look for rods that can be grabbed with kinesis - they are the best object for quickly killing a Necromorph.

Aim at a monster standing next to a wall or other vertical surface - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

Aim at a monster standing next to a wall or other vertical surface. Throw the rod and it should pin the Necromorph to the wall and kill it (if it wasn't an elite monster). This should unlock the achievement.

Freeze

How to unlock: Use Stasis on 50 enemies.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This is a simple trophy, but remember to use stasis often to slow down at least 1-2 Necromorphs in each battle. This is especially recommended if there is a stasis station nearby, thanks to which you can refill it for free.

Backbreaker

How to unlock: Kill 10 enemies with a stomp attack - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Kill 10 enemies with a stomp attack.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: The difficulty with this achievement is that stomping on severely weakened large Necromorphs does not count.

You have to deal with stomping smaller monsters. A perfect example are single tentacles shot out by monsters stuck to the walls (example in the picture), but they can also be, e.g. small spiders. Keep pressing the stomping button quickly so they don't jump on Isaac.

Maxed Out

How to unlock: Fully upgrade all weapons and equipment - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Fully upgrade all weapons and equipment.

Trophy type: gold

Comment: You can't get the achievement in one playthrough, because you don't have enough nodes to buy all the items from the suit and weapon development trees. You must transfer your progress to New Game Plus and continue your efforts. Here are some important tips:

  1. Collect as many nodes as possible through exploration, because these are "free". Visit the same locations in the first playthrough and in NG+ to get the same nodes twice.
  2. Don't spend credits on unnecessary purchases, such as buying ammo or other common items. In addition to buying unique items from schematics, spend them on nodes - each node costs 10,000 credits.
  3. Make sure you get all weapon upgrades, because they are required to get 100% of purchased upgrades. We discussed this in the description of the Built to Order achievement.

Front Toward Enemy

How to unlock: Survive the Shooting Gallery - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Survive the Shooting Gallery.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You can miss this trophy, because the Shooting Range is located on board the USM Valor from chapter 9 and you can't return there later in the campaign.

Once you get there, collect supplies (especially ammo) and activate the terminal.

Don't waste ammo on shooting the targets, just wait for a group of Necromorphs to spawn - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

Don't waste ammo on shooting the targets, just wait for a group of Necromorphs to spawn. Then start fighting. You have to defeat all the monsters and the achievement will be unlocked when the last one dies.

There are also optional loot lockers with prizes in the shooting range.

Z-Baller

How to unlock: Complete Level 6 in Zero-G Basketball - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: Complete Level 6 in Zero-G Basketball.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You can get this trophy in chapter 10 while exploring the Crew Quarters. Zero-G Gym is on level 4.

Examine the terminal to start the basketball mini-game (can be repeated as many times as you like).

After the game starts, quickly fly to the platform that is closer to the hoops to make it easier to score - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

After the game starts, quickly fly to the platform that is closer to the hoops to make it easier to score. You need to quickly grab balls with kinesis and throw them into hoops. Try not to waste too much time on aiming. However, try not to miss and quickly change the direction of the throw if the hoop is about to close. If you miss, the ball can go out of kinesis range and you will lose a lot of time.

Try to hit the glowing hoops - you will score double the points. You need to get a few shots like this to score 220 points before time runs out. You can leave the game after getting the achievement.

Next to the mini-game area, you will find a row of lockers with rewards for completing levels 1-6. Open them all to collect the optional loot.

Reunion

How to unlock: See the alternative ending on any difficulty mode - Dead Space Remake: Trophies/Achievements - list, trophy guide - Appendix - Dead Space Remake Guide

How to unlock: See the alternative ending on any difficulty mode.

Trophy type: silver

Comment: This is the continuation of the Marked trophy. You have to find all 12 Fragments - their locations have been listed on the Marker Fragments page.

Once you found them all, must visit Captain Mathius' cabin in the Crew Quarters and place them on the table (picture). Then complete the game a second time. After defeating the final boss, you will see the alternate ending.
